2XU Long Distant Tri Suit 4.2 5 24 24

Excellent quality but sizing odd. I purchased a medium sized suit as I am 32 waist and around 39-40 chest. My probelm was the arm holes would not allow the suit to pass over my biceps. I am not a body builder or anything like that. I had to return and buy seperate singlet /shorts combo. The quality/ style/ price and look were excellent. The suit would be my preferred racing apparell. If you are larger in the biceps than look for more of a singlet cut. 02 November 2012

It does not look like much when you first open it. The sizing guide was spot on, I am at my heaviest and the fit is good. When I have got to my 'fighting' weight it will be like a second skin. The reviews I read were helpful as I was looking for all the 'cons' to the suit. The fit is great, the padding although minimul made a lot of difference in comfort whilst in the saddle. I did not notice any 'bleed' of dye onto the saddle. I experienced no chaffing under the arm where the seam of the garment passes just under your arm pit it did leave a mark/ imprint also a small amount of redness over the top of the shoulders but then most of my compression garments do this where they fit closest and experience a lot of the movement/ friction. I am not too sure on the zip although I have a poor history with zips if this garment fails it will probably be at this point. On the hole a great addition and companion to the triathlete I hope to become. 31 October 2012

Great fit but for the stitch lines Normally I wear cycling shorts during my long distance races so bought this to try save time in transition. Great suit with enough padding for the long rides but the stitich line on the padding sits right in the inguinal crease resulting in serious rubbing. Will have to start experimenting with vaseline or try smooth out the stitching somehow (suggestions welcome). 01 October 2012

Superb design I can't say enough about the 2XU tri suits. They are extremely comfortable and even in very hot weather they don't feel hot or clammy. They perform well on long rides (6hrs+) without feeling worse in the rear than normal bike shorts, despite the obvious smaller amount of padding, but that could just be something that you get used to. I always train with these types of suits on, but, as I say, no complaints. 26 September 2012

Swimming

Sorry I just recently bought this because I want to get into Triathlons. I have not been in one yet but I just wanted to ask before I swim in this, is it ok to swim in?

Because it has the back pocket wont that cause drag?

The suit is fine to swim in - most triathletes will wear the suit under their wetsuits and so are used for swimming in most triathlons. All you need to do is keep in mind that chlorinated water will break down the elastane in the suit. If you wear the suit in chlorinated water, immediately rinse the garment in fresh, clean water to lessen this process. It is also recommended that you do this after wearing your garments in salt water.

If the suit fits properly and close to the body, the pocket should lie flat against your body and drag won't be a worry. Hope this helps!

I am the same build (well 6,1 to be precise) and a Medium was perfect for me. It felt a little short on the body at first so you could possible get away with a large but I wouldn't change mine.
