Sizng and FitFitting your wetsuit is of great importance and should be done with care and attention. Please refer to our Guide – How to put on a wetsuit – for further information
Modern triathlon wetsuits were invented by Dan Empfield in 1987 and are customized to the needs of triathletes, they generally incorporate the following key features which differentiates them from a normal wetsuit. 1, Thinner and/or more pliable rubber near the shoulders. 2, Long zippers to facilitate quick removal during transition. In addition, tri wetsuits have a very smooth, but often fragile, surface. This slick surface helps to reduce water friction and allows a faster swim. Another advantage of a tri wetsuit is the added buoyancy that the wetsuit provides, this can provide triathletes with a considerable speed and energy saving advantage over swimming without a suit.

Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
I'm one of those awkward people that have weight and height in two sizes. My weight goes between 161lbs - 165lbs and my height is 175cms. Would you suggest I get a medium or Small/Medium? I'm thinking medium to give me a little more room should I get bigger.
WHAT IS THE CORRECT SIZE FOR ME ?
Will the size Small/medium maybe be the best size for me? Or will it be a little too short compared with a small/tall or medium?
Small/Tall would be best for you, but this may be a touch tight.
177lbs, 42in chest and longer in body.
What size would you recommend for me?
I wonder which size of the 2XU R3 Wetsuit to buy, I´m 182cm long and my weight is between 84-86 kilo, it I follow the Sizing on other sites the Medium Solid is the best for me, but not in yours sizing.
I Think that I should have the Medium Solid but I don´t know.
