Loved this Jacket, great value and also nice and light yet durable enough to keep the wind off. First ride was 2 degrees and definately makes the difference, only issue would have to be it is a bit tight across the shoulders but love it. 08 July 2010

Superb design Combination of full zip, removeable arms (that fit easily into a backpocket) windproof front and very breathable back makes it extremely versatile in lots of different conditions - with exception of prolonged rain (but why go cycling in prolonged rain?). If you buy it very slightly large then wearing a thin long sleeve fleece under it will do you down to almost freezing, yet with just a light short sleeve under it can go comfortably up into the teens. I cant understand why the windproof front and entirely breathable back design has fallen out of fashion - 20 years ago that was all there was and its a perfect set up for cycling. Im 6 feet, 42 inch chest and the extra large works well for me (albeit very slightly big). Large was a bit tight around the shoulders and underarm. 29 March 2010

Nice cycling jacket I've been needing an outer layer for a while so I decided to give this a try. I've used it a handful of times in chilly weather and it does a nice job to keep the wind off. I really like the design and the removeable sleeves are a nice option (though once they are off you'll definitely have to pull over to put them back on). The only complaint is that (as a few people have mentioned), they are a bit tight around the shoulders. I'm by no means a big guy but even I felt that they were a bit too small in just that area. Otherwise the fit is right on. 11 February 2013

Very pleased, nice jacket Originally ordered L size but it was far too small. I returned with request for larger size to fit 44" chest . Recieved replacement XL size which is perfect. Very efficient process from Wiggle. 25 January 2013

I've heard these jackets come up up small. How do they compare with the Night Vision range, where Large fits me perfectly?

I have just measured my chest and it's 39inch and 40.5 expanded have tried on the jacket this morning with a view to purchase through Wiggle and the large was a good fit, already have one and found it good in all weathers, a single base layer purchased from Uniglo worked well, long sleeve in the cold and short in the hot, sleeves are great to be able to take off, the sleeves do come up a bit long on me but worth the purchase. I have noticed remarks about zip problems with this brand on this item no problems but with short sleeve Ultura team top I purchased the zip kept coming up from the bottom, solved it by sewing in. I have tried the Ultura wind jacket and that had a sticking problem, again tried one to day and all was OK

Hi Ninja,

I can't compare, not having tried a Night Vision jacket, but I'd say that the Large fits me fine but is a little tight under the arms with the long sleeves on. I suspect that this is where the 'come up small' comments come from - the sleeve zip at the front takes away the 'give' from the fabric and makes them feel a bit tight. With the long sleeves off, it's a great fit.

Once I'm riding I don't notice the tightness, maybe when in position the problem goes away?

Try before you buy, I'd say - hope this helps!

I am generally a Large too. I bought the Large in this Jacket and at first I thought it was too small because it was tight under the arms, but once you're on the bike in riding position its perfectly comfortable. It is a snug fit, but thats the way I like it. If you've got big guns, you might want to go for a size up because the sleeves aren't very stretchy. But I'm stoked with my purchase.

They are small, particularly tight across the shoulders. Definitely go a size up if you want to be able to reach the handlebars! Large is medium!
On the plus side they are excellent quality and good wind proofing. As long as the temperature is above freezing you will only need a thin merino base layer underneath and still be toasty
