Short sleeve cycling jerseys are cut to provide a close fit whilst riding, they are made from stretchy, breathable materials, which help transfer moisture away from the body and keep you comfortable on the bike. They are best combined with a quality base layer on hot days and can be worn under a jacket on cooler days, making them a good choice as part of a layering system as well as a single item. About the Assos brand
Assos are one of the world's pioneers and specialists in producing high quality cycling clothes and accessories. They are located in a region of Switzerland that has maintained a long standing tradition in first class textile engineering. The female XS is 80cm, whilst male is 90cm, which does suggest a difference.
I bought an XLG (chosen by male measurements) and it fit me perfectly, which suggests that the sizing for this jersey is biased towards the male measurements. Then again, there is no female XLG.
Which I guess says it might be a little big, but then again they don't make a smaller one. Wiggle have been great with me in the past when sizing has been wrong, so it might be best to just give it a try.
