Construction
SS.Lady is the most technically advanced short sleeve ASSOS cycling jersey for women. The front panels are constructed from ASSOS SuperLight fabric, which wicks moisture away from the body, and keeps you cool in warm temperatures. The back panel features the patented ASSOS Exoskeleton platform which works as a rear panel stabilizer to provide you with superior fit when in the riding position and stops the jersey shifting when your pockets are full.
The SS.Lady has enhanced moisture transfer, thanks to a honeycomb inner-structure. The shoulders are made of spandex fabric with a less restrictive fit moves with you, for total comfort. Combine with an ASSOS Interactive bodyInsulator, to keep your skin dry, warm and comfortable.
About Short Sleeve Cycling Jerseys
Short sleeve cycling jerseys are cut to provide a close fit whilst riding, they are made from stretchy, breathable materials, which help transfer moisture away from the body and keep you comfortable on the bike. They are best combined with a quality base layer on hot days and can be worn under a jacket on cooler days, making them a good choice as part of a layering system as well as a single item. When choosing a jersey consider how much venting you would like and look at the zip lengths, the longer the zip the higher the ventilation choice you will have. Cycle Jerseys also feature open pockets on the rear for carrying items such as energy gels, energy bars or inner tubes.
About the Assos brand
Assos are one of the world's pioneers and specialists in producing high quality cycling clothes and accessories. They are located in a region of Switzerland that has maintained a long standing tradition in first class textile engineering. In the 1970's, Toni Maier-Moussa, founder and chairman of Assos accidently invented lycra cycling clothing, whilst trying to create the ultimate bicycle. During the wind tunnel tests of the first ever carbon-fibre bike, Toni inadvertently found that lycra downhill ski racing suits had much less drag than the woolen-knitted cycling clothes of the time.
