Construction and Textiles
The SS.UNO features 31 parts: 4 textiles, 15 patterns, 12 components. The main fabric is the ustom madeType.vX121, specifically developed for the SS.UNO to insulate, protect and maintains your body temperature. The fit has been perfected in the pattern design and textile application.
ASSOS Type.vX121 Fabric
Specifically developed for the SS.Uno and the application of high performance cycling, Type.vX121 is a product of ASSOS Textile laboratory Lugano and its global partners and is manufactured exclusively for ASSOS.
Type.vX121 features two unique surfaces, but nevertheless is a single-layer textile that provides extreme pull and push characteristics due to Low volume, triple microfibre filament technology combined with a brand new mechanical weaving technology.
- Low volume: 149g/m2 Light and unrestrictive for total comfort performance.
- Speed: 34% faster drying process compared to previous generation ASSOS plasma fabric.
- PAT Permanent Antibacterial Treatment: Sweat degrades the fabric and its properties. By protecting the fabric from bacterial attack, its characteristics and lifespan are preserved.

About Short Sleeve Cycling Jerseys
Short sleeve cycling jerseys are cut to provide a close fit whilst riding, they are made from stretchy, breathable materials, which help transfer moisture away from the body and keep you comfortable on the bike. They are best combined with a quality base layer on hot days and can be worn under a jacket on cooler days, making them a good choice as part of a layering system as well as a single item. About the Assos brand
Assos are one of the world's pioneers and specialists in producing high quality cycling clothes and accessories. They are located in a region of Switzerland that has maintained a long standing tradition in first class textile engineering. In the 1970's, Toni Maier-Moussa, founder and chairman of Assos accidently invented lycra cycling clothing, whilst trying to create the ultimate bicycle. During the wind tunnel tests of the first ever carbon-fibre bike, Toni inadvertently found that lycra downhill ski racing suits had much less drag than the woolen-knitted cycling clothes of the time.
