The Toe and heel feature extra reinforcement against abrasion, and the reflective opening zippers are placed slightly asymmetrically towards the outside to increase comfort and water protection.
Stratagon light membrane Fabric
Stratagonlight is an ultrathin 3 layer laminated fabric construction; Assos stratagonLight features the latest in membrane technology, so called “flexible barrier function”: when the temperature is low the membrane reduces permeability, meaning the membrane “closes", which helps retain body heat.
As temperature inside your microClima increases, the membrane opens to enhance the evaporation process, ensuring stabilization of your body temperature. Assos stratagonlight allows for proper body temperature management. The advantages and uniqueness of the new Asses Stratagon generation of laminated fabrics is that they get the job done FASTER and feature lower volume to weight ratio than any other membrane textiles currently used in cycling apparel. StrataGon is an ASSOS exclusive engineered and made in Switzerland.
About the Assos brand
Assos are one of the world's pioneers and specialists in producing high quality cycling clothes and accessories. They are located in a region of Switzerland that has maintained a long standing tradition in first class textile engineering. In the 1970's, Toni Maier-Moussa, founder and chairman of Assos accidently invented lycra cycling clothing, whilst trying to create the ultimate bicycle. During the wind tunnel tests of the first ever carbon-fibre bike, Toni inadvertently found that lycra downhill ski racing suits had much less drag than the woolen-knitted cycling clothes of the time. To this day Assos firmly believe in total product competence, delivering optimum function and comfort, by researching and making its cycling clothing and accessories from the very best materials.
