About Manual Pumps
Mini pumps provide neat solutions to inflating your bicycle tyres, they often come with clips to attach them to your frame or are small enough to fit in your saddle bag or jersey pocket. Most will comfortably inflate to over 70psi, while some of the higher end pumps can reach over 140psi, making them suitable for both mtb and road use.
About the Blackburn brand
In 1975 Blackburn set out to design stronger, lighter, more innovative and more reliable cycling products. The first were bike bags and bike racks designed for touring. From there, Blackburn grew. Over the next 30 years, Blackburn's spark of innovation has lead to many revolutionary products, like the first high quality aircraft aluminium cycle rack, the first dual stroke bike minipump, the first oversized mountain bike minipump and the first dual stage/dual stroke floor bike pump to name a few. Blackburn's creative spark is burning brighter than ever, Blackburn is dedicated to designing smart, reliable, no nonsense cycle accessories that are essential to your bike riding experience.

Magazine reviews for Blackburn Mammoth Silver Pump
Review from Singletrack
Blackburn are stalwarts of the pump market and their designs have changed little over the years.
In conclusion...
Modern styling seems to have reduced comfort but it still blows extremely low for a single action pump.
Review from MBR
The large chamber makes getting your tyres up to the right pressure a doddle., and the rubber grips on the T-bar handel keep fingers away from the middle and prevent nippage. We have Mammoths in our collection that have shown little wear after a year of regular use, and with every part of them available aftermarket, it is possible to keep it that way almost indefinitely
In conclusion...
A perrenial favourite on our lineup, the Mammoth is a no-nonsense, simple pump.
Rating: 10/10
Review from Cycling Plus
Bicycle pumps will pump large volumes per stroke or they'll pump to a high pressure. This is the former. 'Large volume' is relative for a mini pump, but with a long stroke and chunky aluminium barrel it does inflate tubes pretty quickly without you pumping like a piston engine. It's rated to 90psi, but that's with Charles Atlas at the handle. In real world conditions I got a 700x23c tyre to 58psi with 50 easy strokes but gave up after 70 strokes(72psi). With a huge 26x2in slick, it took 100 strokes to get to 23psi and I gave up at 250 strokes (61psi). These kinds of pressures are more than enough for mountain bikes and are okay for city bike tyres and fatter touring tyres. For your road bike, it's strictly a get-you-home measure. In use the fold-out handle is comfortable and the pump head locks onto the valve. It'll do presta or shrader valves, but you have to unscrew the pump head to swap between them. It comes with a clip for frame-mounting, but is small enough for CamelBaks, deep jersey pockets or panniers. Build quality is good and there's a 'no-quibble' lifetime warranty.
In conclusion...
Great for larger volume, low- to mid-pressure tyres, if 60-70psi is all you need.
Rating: 8/10
Review from London Cyclist
The high-volume, long-stroke design of the Mammoth means that you can inflate a 2.1 tyre to 30psi in 100 easy strokes
In conclusion...
No-quibble lifetime warranty
