A lightweight alloy, triple butted, frame featuring smooth welds, double water bottle bosses and a Sportive geometry. The Comp comes complete with good quality components such as Shimano Sora, Tektro, FSA, and Boardman components.
Shifting is controlled via Shimano's Sora (9 speed) and delivers good gear movement that is centered around the FSA Velo compact chainset (50x34). The braking is good and delivered via Tektro's R315 calipers and clamp around a wheel package made up of Mavic CXP22 rims and Formula hubs - a great combination for durability and good performance. These wheels then feature a pair of Vittoria Zaffiro 700x25c tyres and provide great grip in all weather conditions.
The finishing kit supplied is thanks to boardman and their Boardman E4P range. This includes the handlebars, stem, seatpost, and saddle.

Magazine reviews for Boardman Comp Sora
Review from Cycling Weekly
Boardman bikes need no introduction, although I think this may be the first time I've actually tested one in earnest. Like most people, I've only ever heard good things about the products — the blend of sensible geometry, tube shapes, spec, and pricing seeming able to tick almost everyone's boxes... The finish is officially called fluid platinum, and combined with the rather cool decals, it is visually amazing... The frame is a lively little number, urging to push on at speed from the start. It's very responsive too, both in terms of direction changes and reacting to effort input.
This is a grown-up bike — it is going to appeal to people who have been riding for years, not just newbies. There's enough ability in the frame for experienced riders to really test their bike control skills ... In fact, don't look at the price and assume this will be a fine winter or second bike — it's a fine bike for all year round.
