Answer:
The Team Pro version is shorter and more narrow than the B17 saddle. It also does not have such a large drop in the leather at the side of the saddle.

Answer:
I am male but know many women who find the B17 saddle to be comfortable (both male and femail versions). I've noticed that many of these women complained of long break in periods though, which is expect is from their relatively light weight. For some the saddle can be a little hard at first and becomes more comfortable as the saddle conforms to your unique anatomy, especially the placement of your sit-bones. Lighter women will need more time to break in their saddles as they will literally have less of an impact on the saddle.
Answer:
Sure thing...just make sure that you order the "S" version. The "S" stands for short as ladies saddles are designed slightly shorter in lenght

I am a female B17 fan. I have very narrow sit bones so didn't choose the B17S. My B17 is my favourite saddle, and the one I choose to do multi-day fully laden tours on, as well as a regular year-round commute. It is very, very comfortable.

My nephew's girlfriend, with whom he did Land's End > John O'Groats last summer rides upon a Brooks and managted teh ride with absolutely no problems, from being basically a commuter/leisure rider beforehand. They make them in two widths, so worth getting your "sitting bone width" measured first in a cycle shop or by sitting on a gel pad and measuring the impression before it disappears.

Answer:
Women do use them and as the B17 is basically a piece of shaped leather supported only at the front and rear by the metal cage of the saddle, you're essentially sitting on a floating seat so it's not like female bone structure is jarring on something fixed.
I think Brooks do offer women specific saddles though many prefer the B17 standard.

I have heard that it is best to avoid leaving your Brooks saddle exposed to the weather. It will put up with the odd shower, but if it is drenched it may stretch inconsistently when riding afterward.

All leather saddles will absorb water so benefit from a waterproof cover to stop the leather stretching when you sit on it. The cover also protects from uv radiation and will hide the saddle from would be thieves.

No problems and assuming it's been treated with proofide it's been in occasional showers on the car racks and didn't absorb any water to speak of. Did allow it to dry naturally as recommened and not in front of fires etc.

Answer:
Its is made of leather. So a light drizzle should not cause any problems however prolonged rain will make the saddle wet. Regular proofing helps to improve its ability to repel water up to a point. Suggest you either purchase a cover or use a plastic bag.

Rainy? There is no better option than a simply plastic bag on your saddle! The Brooks suff is well made but you should do your best to protect a saddle against water - it takes few seconds.

An occasional soaking is fine but I would cover the saddle to prevent this happening regularly. The leather does not get sodden and spongy. I use an old shower cap when I leave it outside. Brooks also sell saddle covers.

Answer:
I would not recommend leaving it in the rain personally. I think being ridden whilst wet would stretch and weaken the leather, though this opinion is not from any specific knowledge and an expert may well contradict me. I leave a carrier over my saddle if I am leaving the bike outside.
It would not act like a sponge though, being simply a stretched piece of leather.

Answer:
Brookes saddles have no padding to soak up the water, just the leather itself which should be treated with http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Brooks_Saddles_Proofide_40g_Tub/5360035803/ to help protect it and help the bedding in process. If left for long periods in the rain a carrier bag secured with a rubber band will keep the worst of the weather off.

Answer:
It's a standard fit, but only comes as rails (on the saddle) so either invest in a micro-adjustable seat post (about £15 upwards, but measure the tube diameter carefully first) or you can get the basic (and rather horrid) steel adjustable fitting from most cycle places, or raid it from your old saddle. A micro-adjustable post is vastly preferable.
