Standard size stems are designed to fit bars with a clamp diameter of 25.4mm for MTB's and 25.8/26.0mm for Road Bikes. Unless stated otherwise, they will fit a standard 1 1/8 inch diameter steerer tube, some can be shimmed to fit a 1 inch steerer though if required.
