Top Features of the Campagnolo Chorus 11 Speed Cassette (11-23T, 11-25T)

- Reinforced aluminium supports for the six largest sprockets
- Light alloy fastening ring
- Nickel-Chrome surface treatment
- Road
Painstaking work was carried out on the sprockets.
The additional speed led Campagnolo to devising a new support structure for the last six sprockets in the two subsets. The form of the teeth is new and they have been treated to increase duration over time.
Eleven sprockets that are even more efficient despite the reduction of the thicknesses?
Campagnolo have succeeded.
The teeth have been designed to optimize the speed and fluidity of shifting. This form reduces stress on the chain which ascends more easily onto the higher diameter sprockets. The large pinions are divided into sets of three and are mounted on a new aluminium frame. Thanks to this, rigidity increases 180% and the individual sprockets are 70% more resistant to torsion.
About Cassettes & Freewheels
Cassettes and freewheels for bikes are a cluster of sprockets in a range of sizes offering a multitude of gear ratios. The difference between the two is, a cassette slots onto the freehub, which has the ratchet built in and is then secured with a lockring, whereas a freewheel is a cluster of sprockets built around a ratchet and threads directly on to the hub. Cassettes and freewheels come in many ratios, close ratio is when the number of teeth increase in small increments of 1 or 2 at a time, whereas a wide ratio is when the teeth increase in larger increments of 3 or 4 at a time. Most systems will use a cassette hub as these allow for a wider bearing spacing and increased axle life, you can also fit a larger quantity of sprockets onto a cassette hub with 11 speed systems now becoming available. With cassettes you must use the appropriate spacing for your gear levers and rear mech, Shimano and Campagnolo are not interchangeable so you will need to match the cassette to your levers for smooth and precise shifting. Sram and Shimano chains and cassettes will work together as they use the same spacing.

Magazine reviews for Campagnolo Chorus 11 Speed Cassette (11-23T, 11-25T)
Review from Cycling Plus
The Chorus cassette has exactly the same teeth profiles and spacing found in Campag's higher-end Record and Super Record groupsets.
All of the sprockets are coated steel (nickel-chrome), and they should prove to be extremely durable, so unless an all-out low weight is crucial, this is a very sensible option.
Shifting is as confidence-inspiring as you'd expect from Campag, and with deeper teeth than Shimano, it's reassuringly solid - though not as silky smooth as Ultegra.
In conclusion...
Accurate shifting and should prove to be long lasting
