Fiddly but worth it Difficult to fit, though Google will point you to some useful tips. I used a bit of cheap hairspray to help lubricate them as I slid them over (which is a good trick for fitting mountain bike handlebar grips). It's worth it though because now my levers are like new but at a fraction of the cost. 16 June 2010

Perfect Infinitely better than the Hudz option which i tried (and sent back) before these. Fit is perfect, durability is excellent. Dont even think about using anything else but these genuine Campag ones. 04 November 2012

The Real Deal It is only when you have tried alternative hoods that you can really appreciate the quality of real replacement hoods. I once bought some replica hoods in blue for a change. They were supposed to fit tightly and I thought the colour would simply make a change. Price had nothing to do with it. They were awful. These hoods are heavy gauge and not too easy to fit, but when they are on it is as though they were moulded on at the factory. Absolutely delighted with them. 02 October 2012

Exactly as the original hoods. These Campagnolo hoods appear to be exactly the same as the hoods supplied with my Chorus levers. Warm water to make them more pliable and they were easy to fit. 28 September 2012

Unfortunately from what I can tell the Mirage 8 speed hoods are slightly different from current Campagnolo hoods. I can't recommend trying to fit these.

Go to http://www.campagnolo.com/jsp/en/doc/doccatid_1.jsp (or thereabouts) and download the docs for the right year's revision of your levers.

I have the 1999 pdf and it tells me that for Record you need an EC-RE600. But I'm not sure they were carbon in those days.

As long as the lever is the 9 or 10 speed Ergopower version yes it will. They will not fit 11 speed versions.

Sorry don't know about 11 speed, but these hoods fitted my 10 speed Centaur QS ergolevers (and I think also previous 9 speed ergo levers). I could be wrong but I thought the shape had changed for the latest levers such as the 11 speed?
