All seams on the Diluvio are thermosealed for complete water protection with a stretch cuff to prevent water running down the inside. On the bottom, open cleat and heel areas provide you with stability while walking.

There are two cut outs in the sole. One is for the pedal cleat and the other is for the rear heel pontoon. The cut outs are stitched for reinforcement.
I have had mine for a few months and no tears or wear on the bottom of the overshoe visible.

Any bigger go XXL,
To give you an idea, I wear Shimano shoes size 45 and XXL just fits snugly.
