WINDSTOPPER® X-Fast
A light weight and stretchy membrane fabric for weatherproof protection and insulation. X-Fast features a Gore WINDSTOPPER® membrane for total wind protection with outstanding breathability. The fabric has a brushed fleece inner surface for excellent insulation and moisture transfer. The outer surface is treated with a DWR water-repellent finish to shed rain and spray before it is absorbed.

About Winter Gloves

Winter cycling gloves are designed to keep your hands warm, windproof gloves are especially good at this as they stop the winds chill from reaching your fingers. Many models incorporate a waterproof membrane to prevent the insulation layer getting wet, this is important as water carries the cold quickly. They are shaped so they're comfortable in the usual riding position and the fingers are usually pre-curved. If your riding position puts a lot of weight on your hands, choose gloves with padded palms, some even feature gel inserts for additional comfort and shock absorption. Alternatively, wear your summer cycling gloves underneath a slightly larger pair of insulated winter gloves.

forget Assos - Buy these! These are a great find. After being seriously let down by expensive Assos gloves (don't bother) my attention was drawn to these Castelli Estermo gloves. After reading a good review on bikeradar and road cc, I decided to buy a pair. Well, they do what they say. Keep your hands nice and warm. Good feel about them and change gears etc all ok. After you have been riding for the while, the hands will become a tad sweaty, so just be careful when you remove your hand from the glove. The liner is not sewn in, so my come slightly away. However, had no problems. A great glove with looks to match! 12 December 2012

Finally a glove for winter ride Been look for a good winter that able to withstand 5dc to -5dc. This pair from Estremo is the answer. Read the reviews from road.cc and this gloves is on 4 stars out of 5 stars. This gloves is warm and comfortable. Am trying it on on my daily commuting trip between work and home. a 15mins ride at temp ranging from 8dc down to 4dc at speed around 25km/h. And its fine. The gloves is abit bulky but after a while u will get use to it. The only thing it need to improve on is the velcro strap along the wrist. Sometimes it do catches my sweater or gloves when am trying to secure the velcro. 06 December 2012

Very hot gloves ! I have wear this gloves to commute, with 35 kms to ride to go to my work with a tempeture of -1°c ... and my fingers were very hot ! Really good quality ! 30 November 2012

Do exactly what you'd hope At last, a winter glove that actually works! I suffer a lot with cold hands and feet and have tried a few different option cover the years. These are the best I have owned by a long stretch. The fit is spot on for me - comfortable and not restrictive at all. I chose a size large enough to allow me to wear an additional glove liner just in case, but so far I've ridden these down to 2 degrees and not needed any added protection. The construction seems very good, the material on the palms is very grippy and the wrist tabs allow you to get a close fit to keep cold air at bay. My only slight negative comment would due that the palm is quite thin, there is no additional padding in place. Not an issue for everyone, but after a couple of hours riding I noticed it and would have preferred and additional millimetre or two of padding. 21 November 2012

sizing

Does the sizing chart accurately apply to these gloves by castelli ,as i take a large for most companies in jerseys but always have to size up to a x large with castelli ,does the same apply to their gloves?
