Castelli apparel is cut to fit closely against the skin for excellent aerodynamics and moisture wicking performance. On the bike, your Castelli jersey should fit close to the skin, Off the bike, it jersey might feel tight across the chest and a little short in front. Shorts should fit tightly enough to support critical leg muscles through compression without inhibiting movement and constricting blood flow.

Good additional layer I really like Castelli products and this is one of many within my wardrobe. Typically with Castelli, you need to be wary of their sizing. I ordered an XL (I usually buy tops in a medium) which is still a snug fit. Its also a little short in the body length, but I can just about get away from it. The snug fit means it doesn't flap around too much, especially the armholes. It has one side back zip which is irritating when you are trying to get gel out of your jersey back pocket. Its also not easy undoing a zip on your side when riding! I have to stop, which is also irritating or put a gel up my sleeve. May need to practice my unzipping skills a little more. Aside from that, its good as another layer on moderate to cold days and keeps you relatively dry when its raining lightly. Don't expect it to keep to dry-as-a-bone in a downpour. Packs up really well and you don't really know you are carrying it in your back pocket. Overall a good product for the money, but a back pocket would make it better to store those all important gels! 15 March 2013

Worth the money Wanted a very compact but full performance gilet. I got both. Folds up really small and sits in my back jersey pocket. Performance is outstanding. Wear in the winter over a jacket or summer cool days over a short sleeve jersey 15 January 2013

Nice looking vest , good value , poor fit I have always been an XL size and as per the sizing chart an XL was adequate , when received it was 150mm short of the zips meeting , a friend bought it and he is a Medium so judging by that i am a XXXL .. I was aware of Castelli being on the small side but they should update their charts .Pity because the product looked good . I am 83kg so a XXXL may be a tad big , for all companies except Castelli . 10 January 2013

I'm similar chest size but a bit shorter, about 5ft 7, although, given the length of the vest, don't think that should be an issue. In fact may probably fit you better, length wise. I bought an XL, based on advice of other reviewers and they were correct. Those Italian cyclitsts must be very small. Always a bit tricky getting just the right size without trying something on but I'm happy with it. One hint: pull the vest down snuggly before going on a ride or if the vest bunches up a bit while you're riding, otherwise the sleeve holes will flap like mad & drive you crazy when going downhill at speed. Otherwise, quite happy with my purchase Note that I'm a sweater, so don't need much to keep my core warm. Hope this helps.
