Quality
Quality tights, but had to return for the next size up. Comfortable to wear and well fitting.

Winter warmth
Great fitting once you know Castelli always come up small. I am 5’10” 68kg, normally need a medium in cycling gear but with castelli I normally go for a large (although summer bibs I can squeeze into a medium). Great pad and good down to about +5°C. No real -Ve's

Nice 'n' warm
Even with temperatures at -1º before windchill, I've never had cause to complain about the cold with these. They're great. Sizing is typically Castelli, so whereas I'm a small/medium with most other things, I wear these in large (5'7 with a 30 inch waist). The odd iffy thread/seam, but other than that, fine.

Excellent comfort, great design
My first pair of Castelli kit, and it will be difficult to buy anything else now. Can do the usual 4 hour Sunday cafe ride without numbing my rear end now...pity I didn't get them earlier, I may have had a better choice of colours too. Definitely recommended...

Highly Reccommend
Very good quality. These keep me warm in all weather - but allow you to breathe if you start getting hot. I found the padding not as effective as other products, but still a great product all round - and with this price from Wiggle - not to be sniffed at

Excellent bib tights!!!!
Bib tights are really comfortable, look great. Order next size up because they are a tight fit

Great product, warm and comfortable. It does not ride up... I do! You cant really fault this product the zips are sound, the padding is comfortable, the textile is high quality. The white stripe is no good for offroad trails, but I do enjoy this purchase.

excellent winter kit
these leggings have the usual italian issue of being small for its size, but they are well made, comfortable seat padding and are much better at keeping my kidneys warm than my previous pair. have enjoyed cold day cycling a lot more since getting these

Product is great
My first pair of bib tights and they are great. Great fit for me, feel like quality and do what they are supposed to.

Great for those with an athletic build!
This is the first time I have bought anything made by Castelli. I am very impressed with the quality and the look of the bib tights (red, black and white). The fit is on the neat side I would say. To aid future buyers: I am 6' 1/2" (184cm) , chest 38-40", inside leg 32-34", waist 30-32". The large size fits me perfectly, but I'm glad I have slim ankles as the zips would be tight otherwise! The shoulder straps felt a little too tight when I first put the tights on but in riding position were perfect.
I was hugely impressed with the comfort of these bib tights over a medium duration ride (3-4 hrs) - the pad which seems like it is going to be too soft was actually remarkably comfortable and it seems to have varying densities to cater for all pressure points. I would say that they are not suitable for very cold rides - I have worn them in temperatures of -4c and had quite cool legs to the extent I was cramping up a bit, which never happens with my Polaris Vortex windproof tights. I suspect the Castelli Velocissimo tights are not as wind-proof. Another minor downside was that I did find them to be a bit more slippy on the saddle.
In summary I'm very pleased with the tights, particularly the high quality although I'm glad I "sized-up". Regarding value for money, I'm not sure I would have been quite so pleased if I'd paid full price but at 75 pounds they are excellent. I would say they are probably more suitable for Autumn/Spring riding than the depths of winter.

Excellent Product
Excellent fit, comfort and quality. Good value for money. Will certainly buy Castelli products again.
09 February 2013
I purchased these after returning a pair of Sportful Tour bib tights (they were to long in the leg) after contacting Wiggle they recommended these for a better fit. I am 5'8'' tall with 40'' chest but an inside leg measurement of 30'' the Velocissimo bib tights are an excellent fit for me with a good pad. I have just worn them on a 30 mile ride and they were warm and very comfortable. They are very good quality well made and come with a long ankle zip making them easy to put on an excellent value at the sale price.
I purchased a size large but would warn taller purchasers they may be short in the leg for them and they may need a larger size to get the right leg length.

looks great feels great
after going through various pairs of cheap tights I decided to spend more and get a decent pair and I'm so glad I did. After opening them the first thing I noticed was how fantastic they looked. I went for the pair with red in them. Tried them on and felt fantastic as well. The brushed fleece inner is really comfortable. The ankle zippers are very good quality and the padding is first class. I have used about 6 times on various distance rides from 30-80 miles. They have stayed perfect throughout the rides and haven't had to mess about with them at all. I did go out in -3 and whilst climbing in them was very nice the decent through the welsh mountains was a little on the cooler side after about 4miles so bear that in mind if you get cold legs. The sizing is also spot on. I'm about 5ft10 and weigh 13st and went for the large. I was so impressed with them I bought the veloccisimo bib shorts. Very impressed and highly recommended.

Keeps you dry & warm
Top quality sheds the rain of the January showers and kept warm so far.
Usually a medium at 34 inch waist but followed review advice and went for large they fit perfect so definitely order a size up.

Slightly disappointed
I have to say I'm a little disappointed with my first Castelli product. On the plus side, the lycra is really lightweight yet still really warm and they are very stylish - all very good so far.
However, I have to say, I have found the pad to be much less comfortable that my considerably cheaper DHB tights. The pad certainly looks like it should be amazing but I found on my first ride today that it chafed quite noticeably to the point where I'm still sore sitting here now. Maybe after a few washes it will perform better but it wasn't what I was expecting from such a brand. For now the jury is out.

Awesome tights for the price!
Im a slim 6'2" and a large fits me perfectly, but if your a larger bloke, probably go a size up. Wouldnt have spent £100 on them, but at £75, they are a steal because your hard pressed to find anything better. Ive ridden these in about 2-5 deg and they kept me nice and warm, not the best in the wet, but they were never going to be. The seat pad is spot on for me, and they look great. Overall, the best pair of bib-tights ive ever bought, so much so, i had to buy another pair!

Great Bib Longs
I needed some warm bib-longs to get out into the Scottish Winter, but didn't want to spend a fortune, as I'll not get the same amount of wear out of them as my bib shorts. These are very good - they look smart, the roubaix material is warm, the fit is snug, as all Italian brands are, but I fit into the mediums (I'm usually a medium).
The chamois is not the most robust - I'm not sure I'd want to be more than 3 or 4 hours in the saddle in these - but for winter riding, staying warm, and value for money, these are great.

Excellent at this price
Bought these for commuting and rides at weekend, must say after first few rides in temps of 1 degree to 4, these kept me very warm and felt extremely comfortable, as usual great service too, ordered at 12.30 on Tuesday on free delivery and arrived at 8.15 next morning.
28 January 2013
Would recomend
Only worn these the once (temp was about 0) and they were spot on, felt really warm and no problems with them rolling up legs as they dont have straps on the bottom.
Size wise i'm 6ft2.5ish and pretty lean, and large is ideal for me.
26 January 2013
Disappointed.
Liked the colour and fabric but had to return as very strange fit. My husband is 6ft 1 so not overly tall but they were far too short almost 3/4 length and they were baggy around his shins. Awful!!!
26 January 2013
Top end performance for mid range cost!
First ride out was on a bitterly cold morning and I never felt a thing on my legs. Really comfortable, great padding on the butt and in my opinion exceptional value.
I am a size 34 waist and 5 foot 10". Went for size large and they are snug enough!! Bigger lads will definatley need to size up.
Only one tiny crtiticism would be that you will likely have to rezip up the ankles as the zips can ride up during a cycle but only now and again and doesnt really bother me.
Overall - a mid price item with a high end performance.

Stylish bibs
Bought these as a gift and the recipient is very happy with them, plus, they look really good! Particularly like the ankle grips section at the bottom - this looks much nicer then my 'stirrup style' bibs.
The sizing is very much on the small size though, was surprised at needing a large. Perhaps go up a size bigger than you would normally purchase. Based on seeing these, I'd like my next ladies bib purchase to be Castelli!

A comfortable, warm tight
Having ridden with shorts for years, the knees are getting older and feel the cold more so I took the plunge and bought these and they have been a good investment. The only part of me that gets cold now is my nose and having ridden in sub zero temps recently I'm glad of that. The tights are slight baggy around the back of the knees for me but once riding I haven't noticed any chafing around there. Overall I feel they are a good buy which will see me through a few winters.

Stylish Bib Tights at a discounted price
I bought these because my current bib is getting somewhat religious (Very holey) and these are on sale. I'd never bought any Castelli items before but the quality and fit are excellent, once you know what to order. I say that because I know Italian brands tend to be on the snug side for my UK body so I ordered a size larger than normal.
Wore them at the weekend when it was 1oc and they kept me nice and warm (not that I feel the cold). Very comfortable, easy fit and no seem rub.
Great buy, would never have bought them at full price, but now I know I would consider Castelli at full price :)

These are truly a great pair of tights.
Excellent warm fabric good for 0 Deg C, the fit is almost perfect and the pad is exceptionally comfortable. They look great as well. Haven't washed them as yet so this would be the final test but up to this point very pleased with the Velocisismo tights.

Great fit, comfy, warm.
Been wearing these throughout December/January, they are a great fit with a very comfy pad. The leg grippers work well. They also look good, can't go wrong, would definitely buy again.
12 January 2013
very pleased with these. had a cheaper version previously and you can tell the difference straight away. fit is a little on the snug side and you may want a larger size than you usually take
08 January 2013
Smaller than expected (or maybe I am too large!)
Bought the XXXL and so glad I did as it fits, but is...umm...snug! To be fair I am overweight (hence the cycling, every little helps) and over 6ft 6. The padding is incredibly comfortable and the zipped angle areas don't move at all whilst cycling. Over all, I am very happy with these bib tights. Excellent product! I can't give it a con for poor fit, as it could well be my size that is the issue.

Great product
Got back into cycling last year,I have been buying cheaper products, but decided to bite the bullet and spend some money on these tights, fantastic quality, fit and lovely and warm.
I will not skip on price and quality again,Castelli all day for me.

Absolutely mint
These were bought as an Xmas present. They fit perfectly and look awesome but more importantly they keep you warm.
I have been out on rides at 4 degrees and never felt the cold. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Anyone help please?
Which pair would you recommend for riding about 20-40 miles on a weekend in typical autumn / winter mornings of 4-8 degrees c.
These castelli ones for £75 or the dhb vaeon roubaix for £45
Are these worth the extra £30 or should I save my money?

We would recommend the Dhb version as these are our own brand products. These will have a better warranty procedure in the unlikely event that they should fail.Hope this helps

Hi guys,
I'm 1m 89cm and my inseam measurements are approx 90cm. I've got an 82cm waist and 94cm chest. It seems neither size would suit... What do you recommend?

They're a bit snug, so if you're tall, I'd go for the size up.I'm a medium in most sizings, I'm 186cm tall, with a 33 inch inside leg, 31 inch waist, and I fit the mediums in these, just.

Castelli are a narrow cut so you can afford to go a size up, however these are still likely to be a little too short, please contact sales@wiggle.co.uk for further advise3 months, 3 weeks ago

I would go for the XL - I am a bit shorter than you but have a similar in seam and that worked for me. Easy and no fuss to return to Wiggle if these dont work out (why not try two sizes and send one back?)Country : United Kingdom
