cateye giftset i have a chris boardman comp bike and cycle 20 miles everyday most of the time it is dark on my way home, as a gift my girlfriend bought me the cateye gift set which consists of front and rear lights and a trip computer its exellent value also very bright the places and parks i travel through on my way home are pitch black but the cateye lights are so bright its just like having 1 car head lamp my mate was so jealous he bought a set too as the kit is very reasonably priced and exellent quality it is my best purchase so far i have recommended this product to many in the cycling community with great results i have also purchased a kit for my girlfriends bike we will now have many years of use from this particular product due to its robust construction and design which is also dynamic and nie and easy on the eye brilliant thanx wiggle you done it again 14 July 2010

Amazing Value I bought this set of lights and speedo for a friend who isn;t exactly educated about bikes (e.g. has a budget of $500 AUS for a new bike and thought that was heaps to spend), needless to say she has been a bit shocked by the prices of everything in the bike world. She is always looking (more like having me look for her) for cheap bike gear, when I came across this so I couldn't believe it. $50 for the 3 items when each one could be worth this much alone. The quality of the products is good, the bottons feel durable, they are all sealed very tightly so water leaking into them wont be a problem when riding in the rain. The speedo is nice and basic. The rear light is pretty bright, the front one isn't amazing but it will get you seen and still great value for the price. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. 01 July 2010

Bright Lights Have fitted lights onto my bike before and found they are alright for the fist couple of weeks, but then the bulbs fade. As I cycle to work and some mornings that can mean a 5 0clock start I need good light I now feel safer in the knowledge that not only can I see the hedgerows either side of my country lane jaunt, but the other early morning commuters can see me from a distance. Warning though have frightened people living opposite when put the front light on flashing and it shone through their bathroom window, they thought they were being raided by the police. I fitted the computer as instructed but couldn't get it to work, but as it wasn't the reason for buying the lights it hasn't affected me. 31 October 2009

The Velo 5 computer shown on the picture is the old version of the computer. Do you instead ship the new version with the kit?

The computer shown on the picture is the old version (CC-VL500) whereas the one that is sold separately is the new version (CC-VL510). Is it just that the picture had not been updated with the new version of the computer, or do you still ship the old version as part of the kit?

I really don't know what velo 5 has been put on the web. But what I have got in the free-gift package with the light is the actual item which is coded as : Velo 5 - VL510. Anyway my experience is Cateye 5 is good enough with the sleek design, user friendly and accurate
