Two standard LEDs with Cateye superb lens technology provide great all-round visibility, then a single high power LED in the centre provides a superb pulse of light that really stands out. This amazing little light has several flashing sequences to maximise brightness and battery life.
About Rear Lights
Almost all bicycle rear lights use LEDs instead of filament bulbs as they are more reliable and use much less battery power, whilst also offering much higher levels of brightness. Used in flashing mode, they are very good at attracting attention from other road users. It's advisable to use at least two rear bike lights, a common configuration is one flashing and one in constant, this is highly advisable just in case one stops or becomes obscured.
In order to cycle on the road it may be a legal requirement in your country to use a light certified to a specific standard or an international equivalent. Most but not all lights sold on Wiggle are certified and labelled with a European CEN standard. Please check your country’s requirements to see if this is sufficient and if necessary contact the manufacturer to see if this light has been additionally certified for your country. Strangely some of the very best lights are not legal on their own and should be used with an additional legal backup light.
About the Cateye brand
Cateye is the leading manufacturer of cycle computers, bike lights and reflectors. In 1964, Cateye became the first company to create a flashing lamp for bicycles. Cateye invented the first battery headlamp in 1982, and the very first bicycle headlamp using white LEDs in 2001. Cat Eye is a true leader in lens and reflector technology; Cateye's Opticube lens and reflectors allow them to make one of the brightest and most efficient LED headlights in the world.

Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
The 1 AA battery should last 80 hours flashing, 20 hours rapid flash and 3 hours on constant (according to the packaging).
Furthermore, it is possible in bracket in itself compactly by I do a unity band by oneself, and needing it.
It will also go on a helmet.
I have mounted it vertically under the saddle with the optional cateye rear carrier mount and attached with cable ties to the saddle rails.
While this might seem logical (you want the light to be on if possible and not accidentally go off), it means frequently my bag will turn my lights on and waste battery.
The Cateye Uno implements long-press for On and makes it a superb light.
Mine came with the Cateye hand-adjustable mounting band which can be fitted and removed in seconds with no tools required. This will allow fitting to horizontal, vertical or angled tubes and, coupled with the fact that the light can clip into it in either a vertical or horizontal position, means that it is usually easy to fit on any bike (i'm sure someone will find an exception - but perhaps they could just change their bike to fit :-)
Might as well by a second bracket for less than £5 delivered.
I am after a saddle bag clip type attachment and cannot see whether one comes with this product or even one sold separately on the site
When you say this product is rain proof, my other cat eye read light which is mounted on the seat post and used on road bike through the winter with no mudguards , suffered with water penetration and stopped working due to continuous spray off the read tyre. Will this perform better or would you suggest positioning higher off the saddle bag.
It is reasonably water resistant. I have no mud guards and commute to work using this light and it has survived two winters so far, it has a rubber gasket between the red lense and black body which seems to stop most water and debris.
They are waterproof, however heavy and continuous rain would eventually work its way in so I would advise moving the light to a slightly more protected area.
Makes a great stand out light up there, high visibility - have also used a Cat eye 610 in the same position previously
As for other helmets, I would pop down to the LBS for a view of available helmet frames for ideas...
