About Performance Saddles
Performance saddles are narrower than the models designed for shorter ride comfort. They're intended for riders who have a committed riding style with weight on hands and feet so they're narrower and lighter. High tech padding materials and flexible body designs keep your pressure points comfortable and lightweight chassis components keep the weight down. Most have some kind of ergonomic design to reduce pressure on nerves and allow unrestriced blood flow to your sensitive areas. Womens models have a wider design to suit their naturally wider pelvis. Saddle widths vary across the ranges from narrow (upto 130mm), medium (upto 138mm) to wide (upto 146mm). Narrower saddles are the popular choice for longer distance riders as they do not cause the hips to be placed in an unnatural position. Wider saddles will often feel comfortable initially due to their greater surface area but then progressively decrease in comfort as the miles increase, the correct choice of saddle is a case of getting the balance between initial comfort and overall comfort.

Magazine reviews for Charge Spoon Ti Synthetic Saddle
Review from road.cc
I have been riding the standard cro-mo railed Spoon virtually every day for a year, so you could say I am already a convert. The original Spoon offers great performance, style and value. And the Ti is a race ready, mile munching saddle for £20 more. What's not to like?
Is the Titanium version any better or worth the increased spend? Well if weight is your thing then it certainly is. At 242g it's not the lightest perch out there but it's pretty good for less than £50. Performance wise it's all good news. The shape, pressure relief channel through the centre and padding create a saddle that is ideal for everything from traffic hopping to endurance rides and an increased amount of flex in the titanium rails adds to the comfort level.
The quality of construction is extremely high: this is form and function in perfect balance. The brown /tan finished with pale blue logo and stitching add to the quality of the finish and overall aesthetic. It's also available in black leather and white.
In conclusion...
Good looking, extremely comfortable, light and affordable. An instant classic.
Rating: 9/10

Let's get the whole 'saddles are a personal thing' bit out of the way - I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't think the Charge Spoon is a comfy perch. That's pretty rare, so they must be doing something right. Other things they're doing right are making it look cool, with a nice stitched finish, and not charging the earth for it. The Cromo version is still the winner for value, but the lighter Ti version is a lot of saddle for the money. It's available in brown, black leather (for a bit more) and pimpy white.
In conclusion...
As comfy as saddles get, pretty much.

Review from Bikeradar
The chromoly incarnation of the Spoon has won gongs from both road and mountain bike magazines, and after just a few rides on its titanium-railed sibling it wasn't difficult to see why.
The slightly retro stitched synthetic cover (available in white or brown, or black leather for an extra tenner) is immaculately finished and the classic shape is very easy on the eye.
It's the comfort, though, that's the real talking point. This is one of the comfiest saddles that I've ridden in ages.
For short rides or long, it's just brilliant.
The chromoly perch still comes top of the pile for value, but for weight watchers the lighter titanium version is £40 very well spent.
In conclusion...
Super perch that'll keep you comfy in style
