The monocoque front triangle has many new features such as internal routing of the rear brake cable, new different section C-HS1 headset system and a new fork made to work perfectly in combination with the new headset. Also, the square chainstays have been developed following the design outlook of the whole Colnago range, having a square shaped cross section to guarantee more stiffness for greater pedalling efficiency.
The CLX 3.0 comes fitted with Shimano's Ultegra Di2 components, including the chainset - compact, and provides clean and precise shifting at the touch of a button. The changing is very quiet and extremely quick and once setup correctly will provide accurate shifting everytime. The compact chainset, with a wide range of sprockets on the cassette, gives you a larger choice of gears for speed and for climbing also. Many sportives events incorporate some nasty/steep climbs on the route so having a compact chainset makes life a little bit easier and stops you longing for a triple chainset.
The wheels are also from Shimano and in the form of their RS range (RS30). Strong and fairly light, these wheels will keep you moving and the Michelin Lithon 2 tyres will provide you with the grip you require.
Colnago are a well loved Italian cycling brand with many followers. The frames are stunning to look at, of high quality and also available in many sizes (8 sloping sizes). Quality and excellence are assured from Colnago.

About the Colnago brand
Ernesto Colnago was born in Cambiago, a small rural village twenty kilometers east of Milano on February 9, 1932. Ernesto was just 13 years old, but to start work, he had to be at least 14. He changed the date on his working papers and so was hired as an assistant welder. It was 1954 when Colnago went out on his own in a tiny little workshop, his bicycles have been used by more than 100 professional team, 2,500 professional racers, who have won more than 7,500 wins worldwide. Champion riders of the caliber of Fiorenzo Magni, Gastone Nencini, Eddy Merckx, Giuseppe Saronni, Gianni Motta, Gibì Baronchelli, Michele Dancelli, Gianni Bugno, Oscar Freire, Johan Museeuw, Tony Rominger, Pavel Tonkov, Yaroslaw Popovych, Erik Zabel e Alessandro Petacchi, and many others, have ridden Colnago Bicycles to victory. As the great researcher and innovator he is, Colnago created the first frameset in carbon fibre in collaboration with Ferrari Engineering in 1986. The next year, the innovative straight-blade “Precisa” was created. In 1989, two years later, the dramatic Colnago “C35” emerged, an innovative monocoque carbon fibre frame in road racing & mountain bike versions. 1994 was a hallmark year when Colnago introduced the ground-breaking “C40” carbon fibre frameset for his 40th anniversary and still a reference point today. No other frame has won as much as the Colnago C40: 5X Paris-Roubaix and many World Championships. In 2000 another remarkable model emerged from Colnago’s atelier: the limited edition CF1, created in collaboration with Ferrari that quickly became a major success. Next was the CF2 dual-suspension mountain bike in 2002. After ten years of success in every segment, Ernesto Colnago launched the “C50” in 2003. It was the Fiftieth Anniversary of his company, a brand that has become synonymous with the best bicycles the world over, synonymous with the best products Made in Italy. This new carbon fibre composite frame quickly found success in both the competition and sales arena. And for 2004, for the official anniversary of Colnago, a special collectors item bicycle was created, the “50th Anniversary”. Ernesto Colnago continues to dream about and create bicycles appreciated by riders passionate about cycling all over the world. Don’t ask Colnago which of his bicycles is the best: his answer is always the same. “I’ve made a lot of bicycles, but the most beautiful is the one that is yet to come.” For more info on Colnago please feel free to view Bike Radar's article on them.

Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.

Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
Does di2 increase the weight of a bike.
What would be the best size frame ?
My measurements are as follows;
Height = 177 cm
Inside leg = 87 cm
Arm span = 186 cm, so positive Ape index
Based on the size guide, for my height, I should get a 54 cm frame. However, my inside leg measurements are off your chart. I have long legs and a short torso. So, despite my long arm reach, due to my short torso, the frame size can't be too big as it would come with a longer top tube. In the past, I have gone with 54 cm frames and while they fit perfectly for my leg length, in each case I have had to change to a shorter front stem.
Based on the above, what frame size would you recommend?
Please contact email@example.com for further assistance.
inseam 78 cm
reach ( fingertip to fingertip ) 176 cm
would you recommend 50 or 52 cm ?
