solid purchase I have just completed an 800km journey on these tyres. I travelled mostly on highways and sealed roads, but was often riding on the shoulder with a lot of broken glass. I even rode across a patch of small nails. These tyres still look brand new! I cannot fault them. At speeds of over 70kph down windy roads they provided adequate grip, but the reduced friction from my normal off-road tyres was enormous. I would recommend these tyres (especially at this price) to anyone considering riding their mountain bike, on the road, for any significant distance. 14 May 2011
Quick, smooth and great quality I swapped out my Rapid Rob nobbly tyres for these as I'm taking my MTB on a long road ride and wanted a slightly easier life. I've only had them on the bike a day so can't comment on durability or anything like that yet, but, I can definitely say that I'm already very happy with the tyres. The bike (carbon cross country hardtail) seems to both float above the road at great speed whilst gripping like never before which is a pleasing combination of attributes on the road. The reflective sidewall is impressive too. Oh, and (admittedly while still very new) the gravel, broken glass and discarded metal 'things' I rode straight over earlier this evening did absolutely nothing at all. To top it all off, I ordered them yesterday afternoon and they were with me first thing this morning - nicely done Wiggle. 26 June 2013
All but bullet proof. Over the years I've taken a number of tyres into the Australian outback on unsealed roads that go a long way between no where and no where over some of the worlds most rugged terrain.I ought to know what does and doesn't work. These tyres are by far the most reliable, durable and puncture resistant tyres I've ever used.Punctures are all but a thing of the past when I ride with these tyres. 18 June 2013
A class tyres My wife and I are stoked with these tyres. We liked the price, couldn't believe how quickly they arrived and absolutely love the tyres. We ride on the road and a little bit off road, they're fast, stable and quiet. Would definitely recommend these and this company to deal with. 07 May 2013
Great all rounder My daily commute tests these tyres on a range of surfaces and exposes them to all the elements. So far I am very pleased with them. 06 December 2012
Smooth and grippy on tarmac and hard packed dirt Have had these tires for a month and very happy with build quality, reflective features and of course, the all important 'gription' factor. It's always a toss-up for me between Conti's and Schalbe tyres; both have exceptionally long life performance and both brands rate well in my books. I chose Conti this time round based on price and tread pattern- I mainly commute and do hard packed dirt (touring) and Touring Plus have never let me down. Only comment is that when I first changed my tires, I felt they were so 'sticky' on corners that it altered my sense of balance until I got used to the very high grip-factor. Now I corner hard with absolute confidence in traffic, happy to pursue cars at speed when approaching corners- not something you would normally do unless I had absolute confidence in my tyres and braking system. 10 September 2012
I have had these tyres for about a month now I find them mint they fit my 26 rims with ease, they are tough and smooth. Great semi slick. 26 June 2012
It does what it says... Bought similar for previous bike for coast to coast ride over variety of terrain. Well-made, easy to fit and most importantly no punctures. Slightly heavier than other tyres but well worth it. 29 May 2012
Fast Road Tyre for my MTB Fast Road Tyre for my MTB. Easy to fit. Grips in the wet. Punture resistant! 02 November 2011
I was thinking of spending money on replacing my mountain bike (used for my 10 mile commute) for a hybrid when one of my mates suggested just changing the tyres as a first step. Good call, it's saved me a few hundred quid for now and the Conti's have made the ride to work much easier. They've been puncture free so far and grip in wet and dry has been good. I'll probably still end up replacing the bike but I'm not in a rush to do it anymore. 13 October 2011
Good for road use. The Continental Touring tyre was a good choice for my MTB. I do very little off road riding so this tyre is better for road and occasional off road use. It still has good traction in corners (if anything better than a traditional MTB tyre) and in the wet. Also the ride is smoother. The tyres can be fitted without the need for tyre levers. 12 October 2011
Fast tyres with good puncture protection. Have not had a flat yet in 500km. Used mainly for commuting and road riding. At first they felt very waxy and not grippy at all. But after wearing them in a bit the grip began to improve, but not as grippy as my old Maxxis semi-slicks but i guess that's why it's faster. Had a bit of trouble sitting them in the rim but a few attempts got them in nicely and never had to take them off since. But overall a very good tyre. 04 June 2011
Great tyres Great tryes and would recommend to all. Go buy some as they are great. 04 May 2011
Robust, easy to fit I brought this tyre for my wife as she has recently increased her commute distance quite significantly. She's not one for repairing or replacing a punctured tube so I wanted to give her a resistent tyre that will last many miles on dirty Suburben roads. The tyre is very easy to fit and pumped up well rolls well. The reflective strip also gives a little extra piece of mind for her riding her at night. Another quality tyre from continental. Would definately recommend as an affortable, durable tyre for commuters or anyone wishing to make there bike roll a bit smoother while still maintaining a bit of cushioning for the bumps. 03 February 2011
