Mountain Biking Tricks and Techniques is the definitive guide to riding a mountain bike. You'll find everything you need to know, whatever type of riding you do.
Your guide is Martyn Ashton, a man who’s spent nearly 20 years at the top of the UK scene, and the book is beautifully illustrated throughout by photographer Robin Kitchin.
Martyn’s guide to mountain biking skills takes you from first principles to professional moves in ten chapters, with each trick described in enthusiastic detail and illustrated with images that are both inspirational and educational. This is not a book for showing off: the techniques are the building blocks for all your riding, giving you the skills you need to make yourself a more complete biker.
Martyn Ashton is a legend in the UK mountain biking community. Originally a cross-country racer, Martyn came from a motorbike trials background. “I loved how I could use this bike to attack obstacles that had never been possible on the push-bikes I’d ridden before”, he says, and that love spawned a career: he’s been a professional trials rider since 1993. Martyn is currently riding for the Ashton Diamondback trials team and touring the UK.
Cordee's Cycling Selection covers all activities from road and touring guides, mountain bike guides, guides for families, guides to Europe - and then there's the tour de france selection and reading matter about some of the good and great from the cycling world.
