Well designed, easy to use, walkable I bought these with a bit of trepidation. For all of my cycling life, I have used toe clips and was hesitant to make the switch to clip in pedals. I ride a road bike at a recreation level. i needed pedals that were easy to engage/disengage and that would allow me to ride with mountain bike shoes (I value the ability to walk without ruining road cleats). My first clip in pedals were one sided SPD compatible pedals made by VP. They were a disaster and I nearly fell off my bike on my first try. I did some research and concluded that the Candy 2 would fit the bill. They are more robustly made than the Candy 1 but priced well below the Candy 3 which I thought were too expensive. The Candy 2 pedals have so far proven to be both durable and easy to use (I haven't fallen off my bike - yet). Being 2 sided pedals, clipping in is easy and positive. Try a pair of these if you ride a road bike and are switching to clip ins for the first time. 04 January 2013

Great pedals These are certainly great pedals, however I did order an orange pair and recieved a silver pair (the box did say orange though) Not such a big deal and would return if I wasnt in NZ. 23 May 2012

Gorgeous pedals Bought these for my new trek road bike, so I can use one pair of shoes. They are a massive upgrade from my old smarty pedals, and look a lot better made. Used them for the first time last night, they feel great, just a little stiff wich will ease up with use. 28 April 2012

Yes, i purchased these pedals for my MTB, but temporarily fitted them to my racing bike to cycle the JOGLE.
Were excellent also on the racing bike.

I've used Crank Brothers pedals for my road bike and commute for some years now. They're an excellent commute pedal - quick to release from (over a standard road pedal) so handy at lights. I'd recommend them - cleats vary from SPD though so be prepared to switch out any you've already got on your shoes.
