The new front mudguard from Crud - The Fast Fender.
The fast fender is designed to catch the spray and muck from the front wheel whilst riding at speed. The Fast Fender has been inspired from the motocross scene and unlike the previous desgins, which fits under the fork crown, the Fast Fender directly mounts to the handlebar.
You can also fit a race number plate for racing.

1991:THE CRUD CATCHER
Pre-CRUD riders were in the habit of cutting up plastic bottles and zip-tying them to the downtube.
I wanted something that looked a little more stylish on my brand new Diamondback. So I looked in the yellow pages and found a “tool designer”.
I didn't know what it meant, or what he did, but I went along to see him anyway, and he hooked me up and designed the tool for the first crud catcher. I don't remember his name, but I’d like to meet him again and thank him for setting me on the path.
The Fast Fender was designed in conjunction with downhill legend Steve Peat. It mounts to the bars rather than into the steerer tube, will fit any bike and is made from what can only be described as near-indestructible plastic.
The idea is to catch mud and spray as it gets fired off your front tyre. At speed, you catch up with this spray and it ends up splattering your face and goggles, affecting your vision.
It does a damn good job too. When riding with people who didn't have them fitted, their goggles were plastered with mud by the bottom of a run, and ours weren't.
It works brilliantly, is only £9.99 and has Steve Peat kudos. You can't go wrong...
