Powertap G3 Enve Carbon Clincher 45mm Wheelset
If you’re in search for an ultimate carbon wheelset, look no further. CycleOps have partnered with the composite experts at Enve to offer hand-built, full carbon wheelsets coupled with the new CycleOps G3 hub. With rim depths of 45mm and 65mm available in both clincher and tubular versions, these wheelsets are versatile enough to do it all and are sure to take your training and racing to the next level.
Paired with the new Powertap G3 hub, these wheelsets offers the ultimate combination of precision power measurement, speed, and more speed. But they’re as strong as they are fast: these wheels utilise a patented spoke hole molding which allows tension to be maximized while avoiding weaknesses caused by drilling.
Weights range from 1,250 grams for the 45mm tubulars (yes, that is correct: 1,250 grams, which saves you almost 100 grams over the leading aero carbon wheelset) to 1,625 grams for the 65mm clincher. Coupled with the new CycleOps G3 hub, they provide you with the ultimate combination of precision power measurement, aerodynamics, durability and light weight. These wheels really can do it all.
The wheels include brake pads made up of a special pad compound which optimally manages heat, minimizes abrasion, modulates, and performs in wet conditions with our rims.
And to complete the package, the CycleOps System components work perfectly together, with Joule and companion PowerAgent software giving you the precision information you need to take your training and racing to the next level. Take the next step and welcome to a newer, faster you!

CycleOps Joule 1.0 without Heart Rate
Welcome to the new centre of your performance universe. When CycleOps designed the new Joule and Joule GPS, they spent hundreds of hours with cyclists, triathletes, coaches, and exercise physiologists, and realised everyone wants answers to four key questions:
1. What am I doing?
2. What have I done?
3. Am I getting better?
4. What should I do to improve?
Training with Joule means you’ll always know where you are, where you have been and where you need to go. Every ride with Joule can be as targeted and specific as you need it, giving you the precision and effectiveness necessary to perform at all times.
Joule: New and Improved: Training Simplified
When CycleOps set out to improve the Joule – the world’s first cycling computer designed for cyclists who train with power – they realised that all the data in the world isn’t going to help you achieve your goals if it isn’t intuitive and easy to use. Through the years of working with cyclists and triathletes of all levels, CycleOps understood how to turn training and racing data into meaningful information.
Customizable Dashboard:
Start with the innovative and customisable dashboard of our new Joule. Here – in a small, sleek, re-designed body – you’ll find all the metrics you need logically grouped for use during your ride including power, heart rate, speed, distance, and altitude…18 metrics in all.
Historical Reporting
But the dashboard only tells a part of the story, and we know that what to do next starts with knowing what you’ve done. That’s why Joule records every second of every ride – including intervals – for up to a year, making it easy to review historical reports for both individual rides as well as averages over key physiological time frames of 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 6 months and a full year.
CycleOps System: The sum of the parts:
The Joule is a perfect complement to the new PowerTap G3 hub, is compatible with any ANT+ sensor, and comes with two mounts (stem and front-bar mount).
- Specifically designed for cyclists who train with power
- New and improved design and functionality
- Training simplified: intuitive to use and easy to analyse data
- Customizable dashboard: see exactly what you want, when you want
- Historical reporting: know where you’ve been and where you’re going
- Includes downloadable power, altitude, TSS, normalized power and other critical training data
About the CycleOps brand
Cycleops are world famous for producing high quality cycle trainers. However, the company origins weren’t in cycling, believe it or not they started with producing curtain rods! The story goes that the Graber brothers sold their window products company and needed something to do. They experimented in their garage and came up with a best-selling bike rack. In 1989, Chris and Sara Fortune purchased the company when it was selling 80,000 bike racks a year. In 1990, a high-end brand of bike rack was launched, branded as “Saris.” Today Saris is a leading supplier to the bicycle industry in over 30 countries. The company expanded in 1999 by acquiring the Cycleops brand of bike trainer. As usual they set out to improve on the design and by 2001 they created a new trainer frame and in 2002 they launched the world’s first progressive resistance Cycleops magnetic trainer. It was in 2001 that they heard about a hub that could measure power output and they jumped at the chance to bring this product to cyclists. They bought the company that invented Powertap and started a new round of Cycleops cycling innovations.
