dhb dhb Aeron Pro Cycling Bib Short
Having ridden dhb shorts in the past I knew the quality would be good and these Aeron Pro bib shorts do not dissapoint me as the fit is excellent. What I was really impressed with was the styling of the short. The white leg grippers gripped the leg well and also look good with the white stitching and the white dhb logo. The pad was also very comfortable and after riding 70 miles in a sportive event last weekend, I had no issues whatsoever.
A great pair of bibshorts at a good price and well worth it.

They Do It Again
Once again, DHB have produced a great pair of bib-shorts. the insert is amazingly comfortable and fits to my body perfectly. the white lower panels look great and the grippers are nice. A great fitting top end race level short.

Very good comfort fit the price
Very nice fit and comfortable for long rides. Feel more comfortable than others in this price range. Not as good as top end bibs (rapha or castelli) but much better than other 50-80 pound ones.Size xl, 1m93/and 85ish kg.

great quality, comfortable bib shorts
I both commute and sportive ride and these are great bib shorts. I have often drifted off and purchased other brands, but they don't quite stack up with these. I have a long body and can actually buy these in a sensible size and get them to fit, whereas other brands the straps tend to be short and hence dig in. Not as padded as some, but still no issues after 5+ hours in the saddle

Comfortable and stylish
A good looking, comfortable bib with a non-bulky pad. Havn't tried them over 70k but they seem like they could handle up to 100k without giving prioblems. The band looks as though it will be the first thing to go, which is a pity as the white looks great but feels insubstantial.

This is the first bib I've ever owned and, I must say, I don't know how I've survived so long with just using shorts!
The quality of the garment is pretty good - the stitching is all above standard and they are really comfortable.
However, the padding felt good the first time I used them (a ride of about an hour) but I started to feel uncomfortable on my next ride that lasted around 2 - 3 hours. I'll be wearing a pair of undershorts when I do my 100 mile New Forest Sportive in September!!

Pro version worth the extra cash
Got some Aeron Race version of these which are fine for short to medium (50mile) rides, but these Pro ones are excellent for my longer rides (biggest one 100 miles so far). They are also a better fit (for the same size as the others) and the pad is very noticeably higher quality

After alot of research i found these shorts, tried them and im very happy with them, i have been able to get out for longer and harder rides. very comfortable

Great short for the price
I was once told spend as much as you can on a pair of shorts as they will offer the most comfort for longer rides. I usually ride for 2-3 hours at a time and these bib shorts have seen me through without issue. I'm tall and slim and they fit me very well.

Yeah but nah
Gripper goes all wrinkly and looks bad. The last straw was when I was getting ready for a ride and I felt like I'd dumped in my pants - the pad had disintegrated and there were lumps of foam floating around. In my experience with bibs over years, the lycra disintegrates first, not the pad. I won't buy this model again - although I'm a devotee of DHB bibs otherwise.

Not good after 13 months :(
These were ok bib shorts until today.
They have work into a hole on the inner thigh. I have had these for 13 months but expected them to last longer considering the price :(

Great pair of shorts
I have bought more expensive pairs of bib shorts from bigger name brands but these shorts from dhb are up there with the best of them. Actually they surpass some of the bigger names out there in terms of quality, fit and overall comfort. Highly recommended and I would certainly buy these again.

Goog product at a good price
Have used these a few times now, and after completing a 115 mile ride they still felt comfortable. Would buy them again.

Good fit, good value, good looks
For the money these are a great pair of bibs, sizing is spot on and realistically comfortable

Brilliant bib shorts and great value. Second pair bought.

Excellent Well padded comfortable shorts
I was really surprised at what a good fit these are. they are noce and snug and have an excellent pad. keeps all the bits out of the way. I didn't realise how bad my previous non bib shorts were. Well made. Pleased they also machine wash. These are an excellent short for the price. I think i'll order another pair to avoid using my old shorts now.

Great bibs, come up a little bigger than brands like santini so probably could have gone for M instead of the L. Look great and have lots of technical materials used. Very comfy on long rides. Used for a 120 miler a few weeks back and didnt even think about a sore bottom. White accents looks racy and go with almost any jersey.

Spent more than I was originally planning on these and glad I did.
26 July 2015
A superb fit, the leg grips aren't as tight as others but don't ride up. I've bought more expensive premium bands and they aren't as good, will be getting another pair.
They look really good too.

A little bit flimsy
Bought these as a replacement for my dhb Roubaix bibshortswhich I've had for about three years.I liked the look of these and read the review's so when they arrived I was a little disappointed when I tried them on as the strap's are a bit flimsy.Had them now for a couple of months overall look is good but the pad I've found a bit thin compared to my cheaper club shorts. So if you ride alot and can stretch for a better quality pair do.

Good value Bib shorts
great pair of bib shorts....
im 5ft 6 weighing about 170 pounds ( most of the bulk is muscle)
and the sizes fit me perfectly snug for the size it recommends.
enough padding for long days in the saddle and lightweight.
Basic enough to change different outfits around with the colour scheme too.
only 4 stars because there are better bib shorts but they are a lot more expensive.

Great value bib shorts
These are my first bib shorts. I am very impressed by the quality and manufacture. The fit is excellent as is the pad. I've done quite a few miles now and notice how much more comfortable they are compared to shorts.
26 July 2015
I already have a pair of Aeron Race and found the Aeron pro to have no discernible difference. The pad feels exactly the same so not worth the extra money.
23 July 2015
Fantastic bibs. Comfortable, great quality, and they look great too. An exceptional value.
21 July 2015
What more do you want? It fits great, looks good, the pad is very comfortable and the price is pretty reasonable.
21 July 2015
Good pair of shorts.
These shorts are well made and fit well. Ideal for shorter routes (30 - 50 miles) but I find for anything longer the chamois is a little on the thin side. For MTB / commuter and training runs - perfect.

They're okay to average.
Having read many of the glowing reviews of this product I ordered a pair expecting them to be far superior to my budget gel pad shorts bought from a value supermarket which keep me comfortable in the saddle for about 30 miles or so. Whilst I think they are well put together and I like the fit, material and colours, the main reason for this purchase was additional protection and comfort on rides of about 30 miles. Unfortunately this did not materialise and so on the strength of my initial rides I don't feel I can recommend them and paying the extra has not reaped any further benefits, so I don't consider them great value for money. Maybe I need to consider a different saddle to extend my riding distance.

Good body fit, straps could be wider. Feels racy and aero.

I've read most of the size questions here but I bought the DHB Classic bib and found the XXL fitted me best even at 6'1" 34 waist and 87 kgs. You don't seem to do the Classic any more and so my question is are these the same in sizing as the Classic? Most other questions suggest a XL at most, which came up a little short in the leg on the Classic. Thanks.
Can't measure him or would give the game away! 6'2" Wears medium shorts usually 32" waist 66kg (!) L or M?! Thanks, sorry for yet another sizing question but I skimmed thru and couldn't find anyone with similar measurements (apart from Chris Froome, apparently!)

The pad is alright I find that these shorts are good for up to 3 hours or so before any discomfort becomes noticeable. They should be fine if you take a break in the 5 hours. I much prefer the pad in my pearl Izumi bib shorts but its horses for course.
I am 85-88kg, 181 cm and usually wear 32-344 inch waist shorts. My thighs rare slightly bigger than norm for my weight but large fits me well. Found that the medium are dhb are too thigh across the shoulders for my height and large are a comfortable fit. DHB sizing seems constant.

I can confirm the Aeron pro will offer quite a closer fit compared to the Aeron Race, it's difficult to give exact measurements however we would advise going one size up on the Pro models than the size selected in the Race models.

I'd plum for a medium, I'm 6ft-2, 15st-7 rugby build and the XL fits great height-wise which I think is the crux of your problem. The height would be def a medium but it depends how much "body" it needs to travel around!! Wiggle have a great return policy so try both starting with the med.
The ASV bib shorts are the same specification as the Professional WigleHonda team team kit. They are designed to be lightweight and suitable for racing conditions. The CyTech Elastic Interface Endurance HD pad is low bulk and High Density suitable for longer efforts in the saddle, for those with a lean body.
The Aeron pro Bib shorts feature Toray's - Fieldsensor fabric, this fabric is designed to rapidly move moisture. The CyTech Elastic Interface Tour Air pad is suitable for medium to long efforts in the saddle, and has greater comfort hand feel.
Remember that everyone has different tolerances to comfort in the saddle, and the above is a guide.

I can confirm the ASV models are made from a lighter Italian fabric which retains the same level of strength as the fabric as the Pro bibshorts. The pad is also slightly lighter for race use whilst still providing good levels of comfort.
I'm 178cm and about 75-80kg, but my thighs are pretty big (from soccer and cycling..) I already have a pair (size M) and they are a good fit except being a little bit tight around the thighs. So I'm wondering what difference buying a pair size L would do.

In this case we would require some further information from you. If you would be so kind as to contact us directly using the following link with your waist and chest measurements then we should be able to help further:
I'm 6ft 3" with a 34" waist and the Large fits me perfectly. If I could improve it, I would lengthen the inseam by 3/4 inch. However, I like the longer leg shorts. Whereas I have friends who prefer the shorter style of leg. The Aeron Pro is somewhere in between.

Hi there, I am 5'10 and 30 waist and ordered the 'small'. They will fit you perfectly. They may look small when you receive them but they stretch a lot and are super comfortable on. The leg grippers hold the correct tension for me also. Good luck.
What is the recommended temperature range for these bib shorts?
For reference the Vaeon Roubaix range info states "wear them alone in high intensity rides where the temperature is cool but not cold (12-18degree Celsius)" I am guessing that the Aeron range is for warmer conditions.

I find with the dhb bib shorts that its the leg part that comes up short, not the straps. I am 6'2 32 inch waist and go for the large. These are a good fit for me in waist and length. I bought a medium pair by mistake once and the fit was fine apart from the leg length. So if the sizing says large is OK for you waist size, we are the same height, so you should be fine.
Hi there, I would go with your waist measurement for your size as the straps are super stretchy. You will find them more comfortable than shorts I suggest after acclimatising to them. I would not wear shorts any more. Hope this helps pal

My advise is to go to a local cycle shop and try on a few pairs first so you can work out your size. The dhb bibs tend to come up short in the leg. I am 6'2 and 32 waist, and wear large and they fit fine.
