dhb dhb Aeron Pro Cycling Bib Short
Having ridden dhb shorts in the past I knew the quality would be good and these Aeron Pro bib shorts do not dissapoint me as the fit is excellent. What I was really impressed with was the styling of the short. The white leg grippers gripped the leg well and also look good with the white stitching and the white dhb logo. The pad was also very comfortable and after riding 70 miles in a sportive event last weekend, I had no issues whatsoever.
A great pair of bibshorts at a good price and well worth it.

They Do It Again
Once again, DHB have produced a great pair of bib-shorts. the insert is amazingly comfortable and fits to my body perfectly. the white lower panels look great and the grippers are nice. A great fitting top end race level short.

Comfort to the Max!
I started cycling in March of this year. I bought dhb entry level cycling shorts, not a bib type. They were my first venture into lycra, and they did the job, but being a bit cynical towards paying more for what I suspected would be little different, I carried on with them longer than I should have. Over short distance, say 20 miles or so, no problem. However, I got better and fitter and did 55 miles a few months later. I spent the last 15 miles almost entirely stood up because it was so uncomfortable.
I bought these and what a difference. When they arrived I expected more from the padding. It wasn't thicker than my cheaper shorts which surprised me, however it felt much firmer more dense. Clearly that is the key. The comfort these offer is completely different, not just from the rear end perspective but the material itself just feels so much better on. Less friction. I've not had any saddle issues in them, up to 50 mile is fine, after that I'm not sure as I've not ventured beyond yet. Next season I fully intend doing a 100 mile. See how they get on then!
From a newbie perspective, I would opt for these above the cheaper ones. You may think you don't need it yet, but the comfort these offer, for that bit more, is worth it, even on shorter rides. If you plan anything 30 mile or more, then these are a must. As I'm still so new to this game, I can't compare against other brands, but other reviews suggest that these are amazing value.
Again from a newbie viewpoint, bib shorts will be a conversation piece with other cyclists. Some love them, others not so fussed. Now I've tried them, I can't see myself going for any other type. Before you put a cycling top on, be it a t-shirt or jacket, you will look really stupid. But you're not going out looking like that, people won't see those straps, so don't worry. If you can see the straps, you've done it wrong! They stay in place and are way more comfortable around the waste, as there no need for elastic there. You won't be adjusting as much, if you catch my drift.
I highly recommend!

My first dhb short, it's just awesome!
I would definitely buy another one in the future.

Great fit and comfy pad!
I don't think I'll ever buy cycling shorts that aren't bibs again... The fitting size guide is perfect for these and they are my go to cycling shorts now.

Good comfy bib shorts
Very comfy for both long and short rides
For the price point the are excellent value for money

Extra padding for longer rides
I got these for longer rides. After a couple of back to back 160k rides I discovered that among the ratings applicable to shorts is one that applies to recommended distance. My pain led me to these shorts and so far they've been good.

smart with a chunky pad
Smart looking with a good fit. Pad is quite thick but comfy.

Great products for a great price
I read all the other reviews and I have to say the same, a great pair of shorts for a great price.

Trained on the Surrey Hills all through the summer in these and they were very comfortable. Completed the Ride London 100 mile event with no issues from these bib shorts. Would recommend.

Very comfortable bibs that I hope will last for a long time.

It s a good start out bib!
It is well make, cushion is pro level very comfortable. The only thing that could be better is the shoulder band is a bit on thin side vs other dbh products I ve tried. Overall good!
14 October 2015
Very comfortable bib shorts... maybe a bit tight across the shoulder blades which suggests a little shortness in the length of the body.

Great value and true sizing. I'm 183cm and around 80kg and the large is spot on.
I've bought a few DHB products now and they all wear well and the price can't be beat.

Great value for money
Great pair of bib shorts that not only look good but are nice and comfy for long rides. Bought these for a 75mile ride at Stamford and they didn't disappoint.
They have been washed and used all summer long. A keeper.

Good product for the money
Good fit, comfortable in hot humid weather, (93F/85%RH) south FL USA. Bottom pad is a bit thin for long rides of over 50 miles, and one has to be very careful putting them on. if you pull them up and stretch them while putting them on, you will hear some threads popping. The material is not as smooth as some of the higher end and much higher priced bibs, but the dhb are nice and tight and supportive. If your on a limited budget, you will not be disappointed with dhb Aeron bibs. I would purchase again, but I'll wait for the ones I really want to go on sale.

Sorry guys it just doesn't do it for me. I just don"t seem to gt on with the pad. I find it sticks and doesn't wick away moisture as it could/should. The rest Ok - but more a spring/autumn bib than a bib to wear in high températures.

Plenty of padding - one of the main reasons for buying these. Good fit, keeps tum and small of the back free from chills. Highly recommended. Must buy the tights equivalent soon. Winter draw(er)s on!

Couldn't ask for a better product. It fits so well and at such a great price.

Great Bib Shorts
These shorts look good, fit very well, are extremely comfortable, have a great pad, great grippers, quality zip and good shoulder straps.
I do not regret buying them and have bought a pair of DHB winter tights - same pad and equally happy.
Amazing value. Buy them!

Great shorts, one annoying flaw
Great shorts in general. Comfy, rugged and good for long rides.
Only downfall is the label, which is made from sharp itchy plastic and becomes irritating after a short time on the bike. It can easily be removed, but the stitching has to be taken out and re-sewn. A small but annoying flaw.

A real good upgrade
Had a pair of the dhb bibs before, but only with the mid grade chamois. Loved them. Promised myself that they would be replaced and the time actually came a few weeks ago. This time I went for the Aeron Pro and what a difference the additional padding makes. Been out on numerous rides so far and 1 of which was to 108 miles, so 6 miles in the saddle normally gets telling, but not that day. A real must in my opinion if you are intending spending lengthy periods of time in the saddle!

Quality product for price
For the price these bibs are excellent quality and a real comfy pad for the long days, only down side is that the strip around the leg isn't as tight as it should be so when the leg is straight they are loose. Couple of my friends have the same ones and the same happens, but it doesn't really bother us.

My last bib shorts were endura but wasn't impressed with their latest gear, looks cheap compared to my old stuff.
There were so many good reviews for these shorts so I took the plunge and ordered a pair of large shorts.
I was not sure what size would fit as I looked in between sizes on the guide. No worries though as they fit perfect. I'm 5'10" and stocky. Hope that helps if your unsure about sizing.
First ride in them was 100 miles and they were so comfortable. The pad is excellent. Will buy these again.
21 September 2015
Size is larger than expected
A decent pair of shorts with a good pad. The size is larger than expexted which means that it doesn't fit as well as it could so keep this in mind. If youre 6ft and 80k Large is too Large try medium.

Excellent Shorts for the Money
I've tried and own several bib shorts of widely varying price and quality as i'm sure alot of other regular cyclists do.
These shorts are now my go to shorts for weekday training rides up to 1.5 - 2hrs, and would be good for more.
Quality is good and they've lasted well so far
I did try several pairs on to find the correct size for me and ended up the small, i'm 176cm and 68kg if that helps anyone.
For long rides 4-6hrs i always head towards an Assos pair but considering the price difference these they are incredibly good shorts.
16 September 2015
Great somfy shorts
My only issue is that it doesn't say anywhere on the shorts or label if they are Aeron Pro or ay of the other types dhb make.
16 September 2015
Good light weight bib shorts
Light weight material good for summer riding. Pad is thin and I find the bum is a bit sore after 160km! However I realise pad thickness is a personal preference
14 September 2015
good all round Bib's
got these a couple of week ago now, wore them about 4 times. Im 6.2 ft tall and ordered a medium, the fit ok height wise and everything the only thing i can complain about so far is how tight they are on my thighs, im not a big lad, i weigh about 12 stone and they do dig into my legs a bit. apart from that good all rounders. not fun when nature calls though.
08 September 2015
Hem came away after few rides
The white hem came away from the short after just a couple of rides. Wiggle have agreed to replace them for me. If the replacement pair last better I will re-review.

I've read most of the size questions here but I bought the DHB Classic bib and found the XXL fitted me best even at 6'1" 34 waist and 87 kgs. You don't seem to do the Classic any more and so my question is are these the same in sizing as the Classic? Most other questions suggest a XL at most, which came up a little short in the leg on the Classic. Thanks.
Can't measure him or would give the game away! 6'2" Wears medium shorts usually 32" waist 66kg (!) L or M?! Thanks, sorry for yet another sizing question but I skimmed thru and couldn't find anyone with similar measurements (apart from Chris Froome, apparently!)

The pad is alright I find that these shorts are good for up to 3 hours or so before any discomfort becomes noticeable. They should be fine if you take a break in the 5 hours. I much prefer the pad in my pearl Izumi bib shorts but its horses for course.
I am 85-88kg, 181 cm and usually wear 32-344 inch waist shorts. My thighs rare slightly bigger than norm for my weight but large fits me well. Found that the medium are dhb are too thigh across the shoulders for my height and large are a comfortable fit. DHB sizing seems constant.

I can confirm the Aeron pro will offer quite a closer fit compared to the Aeron Race, it's difficult to give exact measurements however we would advise going one size up on the Pro models than the size selected in the Race models.

I'd plum for a medium, I'm 6ft-2, 15st-7 rugby build and the XL fits great height-wise which I think is the crux of your problem. The height would be def a medium but it depends how much "body" it needs to travel around!! Wiggle have a great return policy so try both starting with the med.
The ASV bib shorts are the same specification as the Professional WigleHonda team team kit. They are designed to be lightweight and suitable for racing conditions. The CyTech Elastic Interface Endurance HD pad is low bulk and High Density suitable for longer efforts in the saddle, for those with a lean body.
The Aeron pro Bib shorts feature Toray's - Fieldsensor fabric, this fabric is designed to rapidly move moisture. The CyTech Elastic Interface Tour Air pad is suitable for medium to long efforts in the saddle, and has greater comfort hand feel.
Remember that everyone has different tolerances to comfort in the saddle, and the above is a guide.

I can confirm the ASV models are made from a lighter Italian fabric which retains the same level of strength as the fabric as the Pro bibshorts. The pad is also slightly lighter for race use whilst still providing good levels of comfort.
I'm 178cm and about 75-80kg, but my thighs are pretty big (from soccer and cycling..) I already have a pair (size M) and they are a good fit except being a little bit tight around the thighs. So I'm wondering what difference buying a pair size L would do.

In this case we would require some further information from you. If you would be so kind as to contact us directly using the following link with your waist and chest measurements then we should be able to help further:
I'm 6ft 3" with a 34" waist and the Large fits me perfectly. If I could improve it, I would lengthen the inseam by 3/4 inch. However, I like the longer leg shorts. Whereas I have friends who prefer the shorter style of leg. The Aeron Pro is somewhere in between.

Hi there, I am 5'10 and 30 waist and ordered the 'small'. They will fit you perfectly. They may look small when you receive them but they stretch a lot and are super comfortable on. The leg grippers hold the correct tension for me also. Good luck.
What is the recommended temperature range for these bib shorts?
For reference the Vaeon Roubaix range info states "wear them alone in high intensity rides where the temperature is cool but not cold (12-18degree Celsius)" I am guessing that the Aeron range is for warmer conditions.

I find with the dhb bib shorts that its the leg part that comes up short, not the straps. I am 6'2 32 inch waist and go for the large. These are a good fit for me in waist and length. I bought a medium pair by mistake once and the fit was fine apart from the leg length. So if the sizing says large is OK for you waist size, we are the same height, so you should be fine.
Hi there, I would go with your waist measurement for your size as the straps are super stretchy. You will find them more comfortable than shorts I suggest after acclimatising to them. I would not wear shorts any more. Hope this helps pal
