dhb dhb Aeron Pro Cycling Bib Short
Having ridden dhb shorts in the past I knew the quality would be good and these Aeron Pro bib shorts do not dissapoint me as the fit is excellent. What I was really impressed with was the styling of the short. The white leg grippers gripped the leg well and also look good with the white stitching and the white dhb logo. The pad was also very comfortable and after riding 70 miles in a sportive event last weekend, I had no issues whatsoever.
A great pair of bibshorts at a good price and well worth it.

They Do It Again
Once again, DHB have produced a great pair of bib-shorts. the insert is amazingly comfortable and fits to my body perfectly. the white lower panels look great and the grippers are nice. A great fitting top end race level short.

Good product for the money
Good fit, comfortable in hot humid weather, (93F/85%RH) south FL USA. Bottom pad is a bit thin for long rides of over 50 miles, and one has to be very careful putting them on. if you pull them up and stretch them while putting them on, you will hear some threads popping. The material is not as smooth as some of the higher end and much higher priced bibs, but the dhb are nice and tight and supportive. If your on a limited budget, you will not be disappointed with dhb Aeron bibs. I would purchase again, but I'll wait for the ones I really want to go on sale.

Sorry guys it just doesn't do it for me. I just don"t seem to gt on with the pad. I find it sticks and doesn't wick away moisture as it could/should. The rest Ok - but more a spring/autumn bib than a bib to wear in high températures.

Plenty of padding - one of the main reasons for buying these. Good fit, keeps tum and small of the back free from chills. Highly recommended. Must buy the tights equivalent soon. Winter draw(er)s on!

Couldn't ask for a better product. It fits so well and at such a great price.

Great Bib Shorts
These shorts look good, fit very well, are extremely comfortable, have a great pad, great grippers, quality zip and good shoulder straps.
I do not regret buying them and have bought a pair of DHB winter tights - same pad and equally happy.
Amazing value. Buy them!

Great shorts, one annoying flaw
Great shorts in general. Comfy, rugged and good for long rides.
Only downfall is the label, which is made from sharp itchy plastic and becomes irritating after a short time on the bike. It can easily be removed, but the stitching has to be taken out and re-sewn. A small but annoying flaw.

A real good upgrade
Had a pair of the dhb bibs before, but only with the mid grade chamois. Loved them. Promised myself that they would be replaced and the time actually came a few weeks ago. This time I went for the Aeron Pro and what a difference the additional padding makes. Been out on numerous rides so far and 1 of which was to 108 miles, so 6 miles in the saddle normally gets telling, but not that day. A real must in my opinion if you are intending spending lengthy periods of time in the saddle!

Quality product for price
For the price these bibs are excellent quality and a real comfy pad for the long days, only down side is that the strip around the leg isn't as tight as it should be so when the leg is straight they are loose. Couple of my friends have the same ones and the same happens, but it doesn't really bother us.

My last bib shorts were endura but wasn't impressed with their latest gear, looks cheap compared to my old stuff.
There were so many good reviews for these shorts so I took the plunge and ordered a pair of large shorts.
I was not sure what size would fit as I looked in between sizes on the guide. No worries though as they fit perfect. I'm 5'10" and stocky. Hope that helps if your unsure about sizing.
First ride in them was 100 miles and they were so comfortable. The pad is excellent. Will buy these again.

Size is larger than expected
A decent pair of shorts with a good pad. The size is larger than expexted which means that it doesn't fit as well as it could so keep this in mind. If youre 6ft and 80k Large is too Large try medium.

Excellent Shorts for the Money
I've tried and own several bib shorts of widely varying price and quality as i'm sure alot of other regular cyclists do.
These shorts are now my go to shorts for weekday training rides up to 1.5 - 2hrs, and would be good for more.
Quality is good and they've lasted well so far
I did try several pairs on to find the correct size for me and ended up the small, i'm 176cm and 68kg if that helps anyone.
For long rides 4-6hrs i always head towards an Assos pair but considering the price difference these they are incredibly good shorts.

Great somfy shorts
My only issue is that it doesn't say anywhere on the shorts or label if they are Aeron Pro or ay of the other types dhb make.

Good light weight bib shorts
Light weight material good for summer riding. Pad is thin and I find the bum is a bit sore after 160km! However I realise pad thickness is a personal preference

good all round Bib's
got these a couple of week ago now, wore them about 4 times. Im 6.2 ft tall and ordered a medium, the fit ok height wise and everything the only thing i can complain about so far is how tight they are on my thighs, im not a big lad, i weigh about 12 stone and they do dig into my legs a bit. apart from that good all rounders. not fun when nature calls though.

Hem came away after few rides
The white hem came away from the short after just a couple of rides. Wiggle have agreed to replace them for me. If the replacement pair last better I will re-review.
06 September 2015
Sore and pilling.
<200 miles and the crotch is pilling on the outside, it's very ugly.
The pad is very soft and causes a lot of chaffing. I feel like I need to stand up every 10 minutes to not only help with circulation, ease rubbing, but also with the heat!
They look great, but I'll be trying something else.

Awesome Cycling Bib shorts
Am a keen open water swimmer and wanted to do more cycling so decided to invest in some proper cycling clothing. Found it quite different at first wearing biib shorts but very quickly appreciated the comfort and padding that they give you
Highly recommend this bib shorts you pay for quality and comfort and have started wearing these bib shorts on rowing machine as well

These shorts are very comfortable and fit very well. I am impressed with the pad and the quality and design. I have only used these shorts for 2 hr rides and have been excellent. I would recommend these bibs.

Great fit, great price
These bibs are more than I expected given the low price. I have worn them a couple of times and feel like they provide great support and padding for the 2-3 hour ride. The chamois is comfortable but the only thing I would say is lacking is just a little more padding. When you compare the chamois to a Capo/Specialized/Pearl Izumi, it feels like it doesn't cover the same surface area with the same thickness in the pad. Having said that, I cannot say anything bad about the way these fit. They are absolutely great. I am 5'11, weigh just shy of 170lbs and the medium fit perfect. Thanks Wiggle!

Great quality comfortable bib shorts
These bib shorts are great value for money. Being short a stocky I went for the medium size which are a good fit and not to long in the leg. The pad is comfortable although have only done medium length rides. The overall fit is very comfortable.

So good I bought another pair
Very comfortable, found that other shorts just weren't cutting it for consecutive, 80+ miles per day rides! bit the pad on these seems really good. Bought a second pair, and between them they've seen me through its summer, with little sign of wear.

Comfy shorts, great value
I am a real lover of dhb products. So they may not be as stylish as the top brands, but they do a fantastic job and your wallet doesn't get completely drained with every purchase. These shorts are the product that, for me, that best fit this rule.
I bought them for Ride London-Surrey this year and they ensured my rear made it the entire 100 miles without too much discomfort. They have a thick enough pad for medium rides without any discomfort. For really long ones you may want to go thicker but if, like me, you aren't going that far too often these are great.
The grippy strips on the legs are pretty cool. Rather than a constant line around the bottom of the leg they have little diagonal strips which i think work really well.
One very minor issue, which a lot of people have mentioned, is the label. It can actually be a little irritating. Its generally ok if it lays flat, and with a base layer i wouldn't know it was there, but it does occasionally tickle me which can be distracting. But considering they don't cost £200, its not worth worrying about in my opinion

Excellent for long distance cycling/audax
During my first year of Audax I decided to purchase a pair of these bib shorts for my upcoming 600km ride. I rode 400km in them, and found that they performed very well when coupled with Sudocrem as a chamois cream.
Last week I used two of these during Paris-Brest-Paris 2015, wearing each pair for 600km. They held well and I didn't develop many saddle sores, and it was pretty much a case of 90 hours of wearing them constantly, be it when eating, sleeping or riding my bike.
The orange fluoro bands look snazzy during the nighttime, and fit-wise they're great. Pad is snug and not too dense, and although I haven't tried other shorts I consider these my Sunday best.
So if you're riding anything less than 600km than you should definitely should be OK.

Good lightweight bibs
I haven't owned that many different pairs of bib shorts before. Mainly because the 3 pairs of Assos bibs I picked up cheap on eBay have lasted so long (they're into their 5th year!!), however, finally, the stiching on a pair came apart and I needed some new shorts, these have lots of good reviews so I tried these. I wanted the XL size (I'm borderline L/XL according to the Wiggle size guide) but these were out of stock in this colour and I could only get the L size.
Tried them on and they are a close fit a bit on the tight side but wearable so I figured I'd give them a try. On the first ride they started off feeling quite tight, especially on the up stroke of the pedal, but by the end they were feeling quite good and well fitted. Also the chamois is very comfortable, much more than the Assos bibs. On the second ride the felt better fitting straight away (still tighter than the Assos) and were very comfortable and well fitted by the end, I think they must take a couple of rides to stretch out.
That's it, they look great and fit well, glad I went for size L now. I can't comment on the durability of them yet. Some people suggest that they fall apart very quickly but time will tell. At the moment I'm very happy with them.

Good quality but a little short on torso
These are pretty decent bib shorts but I did find that the medium were a little tight around the shoulders. Perhaps I have a long torso.God fit around the waist and legs though. My legs are pretty slender legs for my height I'd suggest. I'm 5ft11 (1.75m) and weaigh 77-78kgs. Maybe go up a size if in doubt
25 August 2015
Good value, nice fit, but pad stiching digs in
Did 50 mile ride in this product after initial wash and it was comfy and fitted well without digging in anywhere after 3 hours wear, but on the ride noticed stiching of pad where it meets seam of outer fabric was digging in, will try some chamois cream on it next time.
25 August 2015
Very pleased with the shorts. Cycled from London to Paris using them and Dhb race cycling shorts and had no problems. Very comfortable.
20 August 2015
Very good comfort fit the price
Very nice fit and comfortable for long rides. Feel more comfortable than others in this price range. Not as good as top end bibs (rapha or castelli) but much better than other 50-80 pound ones.Size xl, 1m93/and 85ish kg.

I've read most of the size questions here but I bought the DHB Classic bib and found the XXL fitted me best even at 6'1" 34 waist and 87 kgs. You don't seem to do the Classic any more and so my question is are these the same in sizing as the Classic? Most other questions suggest a XL at most, which came up a little short in the leg on the Classic. Thanks.
Can't measure him or would give the game away! 6'2" Wears medium shorts usually 32" waist 66kg (!) L or M?! Thanks, sorry for yet another sizing question but I skimmed thru and couldn't find anyone with similar measurements (apart from Chris Froome, apparently!)

The pad is alright I find that these shorts are good for up to 3 hours or so before any discomfort becomes noticeable. They should be fine if you take a break in the 5 hours. I much prefer the pad in my pearl Izumi bib shorts but its horses for course.
I am 85-88kg, 181 cm and usually wear 32-344 inch waist shorts. My thighs rare slightly bigger than norm for my weight but large fits me well. Found that the medium are dhb are too thigh across the shoulders for my height and large are a comfortable fit. DHB sizing seems constant.

I can confirm the Aeron pro will offer quite a closer fit compared to the Aeron Race, it's difficult to give exact measurements however we would advise going one size up on the Pro models than the size selected in the Race models.

I'd plum for a medium, I'm 6ft-2, 15st-7 rugby build and the XL fits great height-wise which I think is the crux of your problem. The height would be def a medium but it depends how much "body" it needs to travel around!! Wiggle have a great return policy so try both starting with the med.
The ASV bib shorts are the same specification as the Professional WigleHonda team team kit. They are designed to be lightweight and suitable for racing conditions. The CyTech Elastic Interface Endurance HD pad is low bulk and High Density suitable for longer efforts in the saddle, for those with a lean body.
The Aeron pro Bib shorts feature Toray's - Fieldsensor fabric, this fabric is designed to rapidly move moisture. The CyTech Elastic Interface Tour Air pad is suitable for medium to long efforts in the saddle, and has greater comfort hand feel.
Remember that everyone has different tolerances to comfort in the saddle, and the above is a guide.

I can confirm the ASV models are made from a lighter Italian fabric which retains the same level of strength as the fabric as the Pro bibshorts. The pad is also slightly lighter for race use whilst still providing good levels of comfort.
I'm 178cm and about 75-80kg, but my thighs are pretty big (from soccer and cycling..) I already have a pair (size M) and they are a good fit except being a little bit tight around the thighs. So I'm wondering what difference buying a pair size L would do.

In this case we would require some further information from you. If you would be so kind as to contact us directly using the following link with your waist and chest measurements then we should be able to help further:
I'm 6ft 3" with a 34" waist and the Large fits me perfectly. If I could improve it, I would lengthen the inseam by 3/4 inch. However, I like the longer leg shorts. Whereas I have friends who prefer the shorter style of leg. The Aeron Pro is somewhere in between.

Hi there, I am 5'10 and 30 waist and ordered the 'small'. They will fit you perfectly. They may look small when you receive them but they stretch a lot and are super comfortable on. The leg grippers hold the correct tension for me also. Good luck.
What is the recommended temperature range for these bib shorts?
For reference the Vaeon Roubaix range info states "wear them alone in high intensity rides where the temperature is cool but not cold (12-18degree Celsius)" I am guessing that the Aeron range is for warmer conditions.

I find with the dhb bib shorts that its the leg part that comes up short, not the straps. I am 6'2 32 inch waist and go for the large. These are a good fit for me in waist and length. I bought a medium pair by mistake once and the fit was fine apart from the leg length. So if the sizing says large is OK for you waist size, we are the same height, so you should be fine.
Hi there, I would go with your waist measurement for your size as the straps are super stretchy. You will find them more comfortable than shorts I suggest after acclimatising to them. I would not wear shorts any more. Hope this helps pal
