Our 10/10 Amberley glove offers an articulated fit with waterproof protection, making it hugely versatile across the seasons.
Our 10/10 Amberley glove offers articulated fit with waterproof protection. This slim fitting insulated glove is the perfect choice for mild to cold weather conditions. Extended cuffs slide over your training jacket or jersey cutting out drafts. The compact design allows you to stay warm yet still operate computers, GPS or heart-rate-monitors. The micro PU / leatherette palm has enough padding to absorb vibration from the road. Large Silicone finger details improve connection with break leavers. Reflective logo and piping detail to help keep you safe.
Winter cycling gloves are designed to keep your hands warm, windproof gloves are especially good at this as they stop the winds chill from reaching your fingers. Many models incorporate a waterproof membrane to prevent the insulation layer getting wet, this is important as water carries the cold quickly. They are shaped so they're comfortable in the usual riding position and the fingers are usually pre-curved. If your riding position puts a lot of weight on your hands, choose gloves with padded palms, some even feature gel inserts for additional comfort and shock absorption. Alternatively, wear your summer cycling gloves underneath a slightly larger pair of insulated winter gloves.

A long cuff, and a fully waterproof and breathable construction for under £30? It sounds perfect for the winter. In many ways it is, especially if you really suffer with cold hands. It's only when comparing the Amberley II with more expensive gloves that you start to see a few differences. Internal layers move around; while it doesn't do the dreaded 'liner glove turning inside out' trick on removal, it does mean that you don't have quite as secure a feel on the bar. Given the price though, the Amberleys are very, very good.
Fully waterproof, breathable, very good.
