About Winter Gloves
Winter cycling gloves are designed to keep your hands warm, windproof gloves are especially good at this as they stop the winds chill from reaching your fingers. Many models incorporate a waterproof membrane to prevent the insulation layer getting wet, this is important as water carries the cold quickly. They are shaped so they're comfortable in the usual riding position and the fingers are usually pre-curved. If your riding position puts a lot of weight on your hands, choose gloves with padded palms, some even feature gel inserts for additional comfort and shock absorption. Alternatively, wear your summer cycling gloves underneath a slightly larger pair of insulated winter gloves.
About the dhb brand
The dhb brand was first born in Hampshire, England. Magazine reviews for dhb Amberley II Glove
Review from Cycling Active
A long cuff, and a fully waterproof and breathable construction for under £30? It sounds perfect for the winter. In many ways it is, especially if you really suffer with cold hands. It's only when comparing the Amberley II with more expensive gloves that you start to see a few differences. Internal layers move around; while it doesn't do the dreaded 'liner glove turning inside out' trick on removal, it does mean that you don't have quite as secure a feel on the bar. Given the price though, the Amberleys are very, very good.
In conclusion...
Fully waterproof, breathable, very good.

My hands are fairly average for a bloke.

On the other hand, a Garmin 800 uses a pressure sensitive touchscreen and will work fine with gloves on; albeit you will lose a bit of dexterity but it will still work..
