The dhb droxford Jacket uses a 2.5 layer fabric which is highly breathable. The Droxford Jacket is a superlight shell, with no unecessary pockets, venting panels, storm flaps etc.
dhb clothing is used by the riders in Team Wiggle and the Charge Team Riders

About Cycling Waterproof Jackets
Waterproof cycle jackets can improve your comfort levels on the bike considerably when the weather turns nasty. Factors such as wind resistance and high breathability are important if you will be riding at a high pace over a fair distance, along with wearing a good quality base or mid layer to help with wicking moisture away from your skin. Waterproof cycle jackets with hi tech fabrics such as GoreTex and eVent are well worth paying a little extra for, if you require high levels of breathability, this will improve protection, dryness and comfort on longer rides in poor conditions.
About the dhb brand
The dhb brand was first born in Hampshire, England. The founders – d, h and b decided they didn’t want to just sell bicycle gear but they also wanted to be involved with every aspect of it’s design and development. Five years later, with international expansion all products are still ridden extensively by the in-house R&D team in the local South Downs region. Getting out and riding is the core philosophy of the dhb brand. We want people to be outside riding doing what they love most. The dhb range of cycling apparel and accessories aims to engage all levels of rider - from novice, to triathlete and competitive sportive rider. We have worked with skilled technicians and factories across the globe to bring ‘our’ kit to ‘you’ - the enthusiast. dhb has experienced phenomenal success in the United Kingdom, and over the past years our reach has extended through Europe to fellow riders in Japan and Australia. The new branding for dhb is a turning point marking our increasing energy for our brand. With more cyclists spinning their wheels every day, dhb will continue to provide kit that offers technical, elegant solutions, with longevity for your best rides.

Magazine reviews for dhb Droxford Waterproof Cycling Jacket
Review from road.cc
We tested dhb's Wickham eVent jacket last year and gave it high praise; the Droxford uses the same cut but swaps the excellent eVent fabric for a more workmanlike 2.5 layer breathable, knocking £30 off the price in the process. The resulting shell is a versatile, no-frills outer layer that's good for commuting and training.
The cut of this jacket is slightly more generous than a race-fitted outer layer, which allows you to cram another layer inside for the cold snaps. It's not so large that it gets really flappy though, and the length of the arms and drop of tail is just about spot-on for the bike. The collar is high but not too tight, with a fleece lining. It stops draughts pretty well on its own and there's space for a Buff if it gets chilly. Finishing touches are pretty minimal: there's some reflective detailing, velcro cuffs and a drawstring waist but no vents or pockets: I would have liked a chest pocket for the commute. The Droxford is available in fluoro yellow as pictured, or in black with yellow piping.
The fabric itself is a mid-level breathable, and as such it works well but has its limitiations. It's pretty thin so you'll have to work hard to cook yourself, but it's not as breathable as the eVent fabric used in the Wickham outer layer. For £30 less, though, you wouldn't really expect it to be. It's very waterproof and windproof, no complaints there. The thin fabric means it's pretty packable, at a pinch it'll roll up into a jersey pocket or a large seatpack, so it's a good option if the weather's changeable.
Our sample has been through the wash a couple of times and survived very well. The rain doesn't run off quite so well now, so sooner or later it'll need a Nikwax treatment to help the water bead on the surface and keep the fabric breathable; that's to be expected though.

Review from What MTB
DHB's Droxford is a great waterproof jacket: loose enough to go over base layers, but close enough not to flap about.
It's long in the arm but short enough in the body that it doesn't feel like a stage curtain has fallen around your waist, and a tug on the waist drawcords will cinch it in.
The ergonomically shaped neck also works well to keep out the chills. We've been hard pushed to find genuine fault with this jacket in previous years and the feeling is the same with this renamed 2010 version.
In conclusion...
Less is more' sounds naff, but it genuinely works on this great jacket
Rating: 4/5
Review from Triathlete Europe
dhb's new Droxford jacket is a lightweight waterproof outer shell tailored from 2.5 layer breathable fabric and has taped seams inside to keep the wet stuff out. The thing we like about this jacket is that it's so user friendly with single handed adjustable waist pullers and an easy pull front zipper with zip tag. Neat touches like Velcro cuffs, a fleece lined high collar and drop tail add to the ride comfort while up front a waterproof reverse style zip keeps drafts and rain out. Being relatively lightweight means it packs small and easily fits into a bag or jersey pocket, but the trade off to keeping things simple is it does away with pockets, which were missed. A hi-viz version is also available but we like the black with contrasting seams.
In conclusion...
At this price it offers fantastic value for money whether you use it training or for your daily commute.
Rating: 9/10 for Value. 9/10 for Performance.
Review from Cycling Active
dhb says commuter to most people, and nothing says commuter more than a florescent jacket. So the Droxford has a well defined market, and hits it squarely. Its 2.5 layer fabric breathes well but, as with similar fabrics, it struggles when you're working really hard. The adjustable cuffs are good, the high neck is comfy if a little loose and the cut is on the large side, meaning it'll flap.
In conclusion...
It does what it says on the tin.
