Reliable light jacket
This jacket looks great and packs up quite small, it does however come up quite small - I ordered an XL however it feels more like an L in the body length - order a size larger than you normally would.

Looks like pretty good quality and well made BUT way to short. I'm 177cm tall with 99cm chest so bought a medium. Chest size and arm length is perfect but body is way to short, ie just below my belly button. Wiggle customer service said this is the style... more like bad design to me. Can't comment on waterproof ability as have never worn it apart from trying on...

Very Profficient 'Cyclists' jacket
Bought as a lightweight winter Jacket as I was retiring my 4 year old Endura.
First Off, this is an Excellent Jacket for the Sale Price I purchased it at.
Quality of material is superb, the Seams are good. the lining - nice - just enough.
some Very Nice touches...
the nice high collar feels great against the skin - fuzzy wuzzy but not over the top..
the Vents are large and in good places with easy to reach Zips..
and it's long enough to cover my a**e
which is nice..
the coverage..... not my a**e
and when I've worn it in the Summer Rain - the Water beads up nicely and rolls
off Just as it should.
Now, as this is a 'Fitted' cycling jacket' I went up one Size from my normal XL in Altura to a XXL., this normally leaves me room for 2 or 3 layers for Warmth in the winter,
and this is where is fits nicely over my arms ( a bit long ) and shoulders - doesnot impinge on movement at all, to being quite Snug on the Belly - this is because I have a Commuters build not a 'Cyclists' build.
I e, a bit round in the middle but not so round that it's bigger than my chest...
so a Word to my beer loving Brethren - go one or two Sizes up - this jacket is designed for the Racing Whippets that Dream of 'the Tour' or the 'Roubaix' it will be Great for a Commuter on the Mean Urban Streets - but don't expect to have too much space for an Expanding Diaphragm.
And so it acts as a constant reminder to do 3 sets of 'back away from the Pies' and soon I will be as Svelte as those passing my on the old Kent road into London before the Winter is over.. at least that way I can wear another Layer to keep warm or to Cycle Faster to get some heat in my old Fat body.
I'll review again once the Winter is over and See how it's lasted as I ride Right the way through Even sleet and snow.

Good fit very comfortable fabric feels good. Side vents help to keep cool.

Product exactly as described
Excellent lightweight jacket. Ideal for early morning commutes.

Great jacket well made let down by stupid sizing
I bought this jacket in XL as I am 44/45 inch chest and now have 34/35 inch waist , the jacket was just too tight in the body even with a thin base underneath. Sent it back and ordered an XXL , same problem in fact I really couldn`t tell the difference in overall body sizing between the two different sizes . The sleeves on both were fine for length but the front of the jacket is not very long and just covers the belly button area , same at the back standing up it is fine , on the bike it is just too short at the back to give reasonable coverage. It`s a real shame because the jacket is very nicely made but the size issues are ridiculous , this jacket would be okay on a Tour de France pro with the body that goes with that , but for the average commuter and cyclist it is a tight athletic fit which really equates to skinny bodied and if you are average , not fat just average , build like me it will not give a good fit. So the XXL is now going back which is a real disappointment as I liked the actual jacket and it`s features. Wiggle sort out the sizing they are far too close to be realistic .

Excellent all weather jacket. Bit longer at back was a bit disappointed never had side pockets but with zipped pocket on back. Zip inside pocket and a velcro in the inside you won't need them. Not tried in the rain but feels waterproof. Did get the bigger size as can be a bit tight. Would imagine be all right if you have a cycling body but when your Carrying a few extra pounds then maybe the bigger size.

Really poor fit
Poor fit and design. Having read the reviews this item still looked a bargain even if it was going to be a slightly poorer fit than usual. I ordered a size higher than usual but the body was still way too short and arms too long. Sort it out dhb!

So close to being an amazing jacket.
This is a quality jacket, nice fit (short for some) but the lack of length does ensure it doesn't ride up. Very comfortable to wear, good waterproofing and well vented.
Where this jacket goes wrong is the pockets.....I think the designer was having an off day when the decided where to put the pockets. The two inner pockets are only really useful for small phones (4.5" screen) or gels. The large rear pocket is almost impossible to access during a ride due to the zip being too high up, it's even hard to get into when you're off bike!!! The rear pocket also has a 'handy' mesh credit card pocket stiched inside, quite a nice idea but, if you can actually get your hand in the pocket you'll find that your thumb will get stuck in it making things even more awkward than they already are.
It's not without its faults, weatherproof warm and comfortable, but awful pockets. Overall a good jacket for price paid (£35 on sale) and as I use it for the commute to work the pockets aren't too big an issue.

Great jacket ......... but
Great winter jacket except for Velcro tabs on sleeves. The Velcro will not remain closed and is incredibly lightweight and cheap. I am having them sown shut as they are useless. Lovely quality jacket ruined by pennies worth of cheap Velcro.

High Quality, Bulky.
Everything made by dhb is high quality. This product is just too bulky. I purchased the XXL size which I always go with when it comes to dhb. I am going to try out another dhb rain jacket.

Great Quality Jacket, however....
Really nice jacket for the price. Quality felt very good.
Unfortunately, despite the arms and shoulders being of perfect length, the body was crazy short and the front only went as low as my berry button. I am not an odd size, so struggled to understand why.
I have returned the jacket now but would not exchange for fear the larger size would be too bulky.

Excellent waterproof jacket
This jacket is not packable but will keep you dry for hours under hard rain. It will also keep you warm against strong winds. Definitely recommand for touring/audax, not so much for racing as the cut is quite roomy.

I love everything DHB but the sizes
Great jacket, waterproof and lots of pockets - but the sizes are not great, I've had to get extra large due to a medium not being long enough (I'm 6'4" and 77kg) and now I even Lou Ferigno would struggle to fill the wrist holes!

Really nice jacket
Good tidy fit. Doesn't pack really small but i use it with a small saddle bag - ideal
31 May 2016
really good water proof jacket, but the back pocket, lets water in so don,t keep nothing in there if you don,t want it getting wet, even with the zip done up at the back the pocket still feels up with water
I wear it all the time as its good in the wind,as well as it dose keep me dry apart from the back pocket i will recommend it to a friend

Well made but too short
Agree with other reviewers here. I'm pretty short (5'7''), but this jacket isn't long enough at the back for me.
23 May 2016
This is a great jacket - warmer than I thought but comfortable and fits well
22 May 2016
Snug fit, great value
Initially thought it was too small (I bought medium and I am approx 40in chest 33 waist) but elasticated seam along waistline stretches to give a perfectly snug fit. Comfortable, keeps the wind off. Cant comment on waterproofing yet...
19 May 2016
excellent! well fit and comfortable! great quality!
18 May 2016
Good but baggy sleeves due to odd sizing
Had to purchase xxl as recommended to go one size up for dhb products. This means the body fits very well, but the sleeves are now a bit long/baggy and not as aerodynamic as other jackets on offer. Good value and well constructed though.
16 May 2016
Excellent jacket, but beware of sizing
For the price this jacket is very well made and looks great. However, I ordered a Large and found it to be quite a tight fit around the shoulders and waist so I returned it for an Extra Extra Large to be on the safe side.
09 May 2016
great jacket, really light, waterproof, keeps wind off, nice enough to wear as a normal jacket. has loads of pockets to store stuff.
30 April 2016
Good so far
Only worn this a couple of times in light rain but it kept me dry from the inside and out. Impressed by the breath-ability features with no sign of sweat induced dampness.
One point to note is that unless you have the build of Wiggo then I would order a size larger that you would expect, which could mean the arms are a tad on the long side (as they are for me).
29 April 2016
Good quality / value especially in sale
although a great quality product, beware of size, got large, too short and tight so sent back for XXL, zips under arms good feature,

Waterproof, warm but also breaths well.
Good fit for road riding. Waterproof level is great, but also doesn't overheat when weather isn't cold as expected. Lived in jacket over winter.
12 April 2016
Comfortable and dry
I had only had a few waterproof jackets before this. The majority have been very sweaty like a boil in the bag cyclist riding along. This jacket however I have found to be the best I have used for breathability at this sort of price point. It looks good and is very comfortable to wear.
The material is very flexible it doe not have that feel of a waterproof jacket. In fact I often wear it in the winter as a winter jacket. My only criticism would be that I find it too short and the sizing is on the small side. I am usually a medium/large. I brought the Large and it is snug fitting. If I brought it again I would definitely buy an extra large.
08 April 2016
Fitting 1.5 sizes too tight, too short
I am usually a Medium. Ordered a medium and had to return it right away for a Large. The large was still too small and more importantly, very short. I have since given it to my sister.
07 April 2016
Offers good protection from the elements.
I bought this jacket primarily for MTB use, those cold early morning starts when there's a mist in the air and slop on the ground and there's no doubt it keeps me warm and dry in these conditions. Once the day warms up or you start hitting some heavy uphill sections then it folds fairly slim and fits into my backpack - although it's by no way a pack-a-mac, I'd compare it in size to a bag of Doritos with the air removed but the delicious corn chips still in the packet.
Sizing was the big issue for me when buying this jacket, I'm a porky biker, 5'11'' and 95kg on a bad day, having previously been burnt by an Endura Xtract in L that wouldn't span my girth, I went for the XXL in this and it fits perfectly although, as mentioned elsewhere, the arms are crazy long! like 3 inches past my fingers when I hold my arms straight however using the wrist cuffs to fasten it over gloves works and I didn't notice the extra material bunching up while riding.
This jacket has a good number of pockets, an even better number of zipped vents, looks great (is more battleship grey rather than the black it looks on Wiggle photo) and is functional - what more do you want?
06 April 2016
This jacket (in red) has lasted me very well
I like the retro styling and the flexibility of the wear - all conditions.
If there was any critique it is that it does attract dirt in the seams the older it gets that a heavy biological wash ruined the internal mesh of - and probably the waterproof nature of the clothing truth be told - but that's the holy grail of textiles and not comment on the item itself.

I have a 41-42" chest and 32" waist and the large fits me fine with one layer underneath, anymore and it'd be a squeeze. For someone your height etc I'd recommend the XXL but everyone is differen't with regards to layering etc

Hey, same height here, just got the Large and the back is somewhat short for me, especially in the drops. I don't know if the XL would be much better, however, as then you'd have to consider the added bulkiness and extra sleeve length. While not ideal,I am managing with the L.

I'b same height slightly bigger chest 43' and need to return the Large. I could zip it up but it was extremely fitted over just a regular formal shirt, so no chance under base layers.Tight on the chest and neck. Not that long on the lower back either. Unfortunately your probably smack inbetween L and XL. Order both and send one back, but id say your going to be an XL
Hi there. Please can you tell me what the difference in arm length is between the Large and X Large. I ordered a Large. It is a snug fit, arms are perfect, shoulder fit is a bit restrictive. but it is just a bit too short on the back. Would the XL be too baggy?

Hi, I have't tried both jacket sizes, but I would have ordered the larger jacket for me in as much as I need a tad bigger chest size, the arm length in the one I have is quite adequate for me. Generally I feel you need to order one size larger is my expirence Hope this helps
I'm 6'1" tall, 78kg and 33" waist 40' chest. What size should I get? Chest and waist says medium, but height says Large. I don't want a jacket that's too big on the chest, but I want one that's long enough.

im practically the same stats as you. Just brought a large. Fits ok in the body, race fit but quite short, especially in the tail. the arms though were too baggy, too long and flappy. Just not a good fit which is a shame as quality seems great. hope this helps.

I am 186cm high with 84vm inside leg - so long in the body - and found the jacket too short back and front and gave it to a smaller mate in the end; which may answer your concern but really depends on your torso to leg ratio

Not sure which measurements you want but the front measurements of the large size of this jacket are 24" / 61cm from bottom to top of the collar (zipped up) or alternately, 25" / 63.5cm from the bottom to the shoulder seam.
Back measurements are: 32" / 81cm from the bottom to the top of the collar or 29.5" / 75cm from the bottom to the seam on the shoulder.
HI. I'm 184 cm and 66 kg. 96 cm chest and 31 Inches waist. I actually prefer Next to skin fit. may the small size will fit to me? the medium and large size is out of stock now, and I need to order it now
I currently have a DHB Signal jacket and I'm not happy at all about its fit. Chest is much too large and flap if there is any wind while the arms are too short for me. I also have a castelli softshell that is perfectly cut, will this waterproof jacket fit closer to the castelli as the description suggest ? Are the Arms longer than on the signal ?
I can't speak for the castelli but I'm 6' 5" and bought an XXL of this jacket.
At that size the arm length is just right but it does tend to gather under my arms when I'm not riding and I do notice a fair bit of flapping coming from under my arms whether the pit holes are unzipped or not when riding into a light head wind and, come to think of it, the flapping gets progressively worse as the head wind increases.
I'm not unduly concerned about the flapping as having been married for more than 19 years my selective hearing kicks in after the first 5 minutes or so... ;-)

I usually buy XL but had to get an XXL and it was still on the tight side of things, and it is very short in length, see my review. I am 6'4" and have a 44" chest as a guide. I found the XXL tight and short. Hope this helps.
I have just brought this jacket and i'm using it in Auckland NZ when the temp has been from 3-10degs and its not too warm at all. The zips under the arms help regulate the temp for the climbs and i'm only wearing merino thermal under it.

No its fine - I'm currently using in Sydney, and with a backpack on it can get a little warm, but you only need 1 layer underneath. There's good ventilation built in and underarm zips for extra ventilation if you need it
Buying from the US, I want to make sure the size I buy is correct. I have a Gore Bike Wear Xenon 2.0 SO Jacket in an XL size that fits like a glove, however, the Gore Path Jacket I have in an XL is extremely loose. The size chart for the chest for gore jackets indicates a 40″ - 411⁄2″ is a XLarge. I'm 6'2, 42L Chest, 180lbs and would prefer a form fitting size rather than loose. I imagine I should buy a Large, but paying a 50 dollar return charge is a bit ridiculous internationally. Does anyone have any advice before I buy something?
Hi there. I'm around 6'2" but only about 150 pounds, so I bought a Medium for a nice body fit. It fits just as I wanted in the body, but I have noticed it creep up a little around the back when I'm riding. If it were an inch longer in the torso, it'd be perfect. The arm length is completely fine though. Hope that helps!

I can confirm that the issue here is due to the different cut than the manufacturers use. Gore offer a snug form fit, where as DHB offer a generous fit. If you have a 42 inch chest I can confirm that a large will be a good fit for you in this DHB.

I have washed this jacket many times. Wash on 30deg with non bio. Allow to drip dry. Not had any issues with lack of waterproofing following washing. I would suggest that as there are no specific care instructions indicated on the label there are no specific care instructions.
Additional information about olly22 could not be loaded.
Robbo Wash it as normal with either type of powder but do not use fabric conditioner. You will not need to iron. If you are wearing it frequently and washing it a lot then give it a wash with NicWax one a month or so.
The reason I ask is I have just washed the dhb signal jacket and all the material that cover the seams have come adrift in the wash....! (A real shame as I loved the fit and style of the signal jacket) I have since returned this item due to being faulty. I now need a new jacket to replace the signal but don't want to have the same issues......
