Well made but too short
Agree with other reviewers here. I'm pretty short (5'7''), but this jacket isn't long enough at the back for me.

This is a great jacket - warmer than I thought but comfortable and fits well

Snug fit, great value
Initially thought it was too small (I bought medium and I am approx 40in chest 33 waist) but elasticated seam along waistline stretches to give a perfectly snug fit. Comfortable, keeps the wind off. Cant comment on waterproofing yet...

excellent! well fit and comfortable! great quality!

Good but baggy sleeves due to odd sizing
Had to purchase xxl as recommended to go one size up for dhb products. This means the body fits very well, but the sleeves are now a bit long/baggy and not as aerodynamic as other jackets on offer. Good value and well constructed though.

Excellent jacket, but beware of sizing
For the price this jacket is very well made and looks great. However, I ordered a Large and found it to be quite a tight fit around the shoulders and waist so I returned it for an Extra Extra Large to be on the safe side.

great jacket, really light, waterproof, keeps wind off, nice enough to wear as a normal jacket. has loads of pockets to store stuff.

Good so far
Only worn this a couple of times in light rain but it kept me dry from the inside and out. Impressed by the breath-ability features with no sign of sweat induced dampness.
One point to note is that unless you have the build of Wiggo then I would order a size larger that you would expect, which could mean the arms are a tad on the long side (as they are for me).

Good quality / value especially in sale
although a great quality product, beware of size, got large, too short and tight so sent back for XXL, zips under arms good feature,

Waterproof, warm but also breaths well.
Good fit for road riding. Waterproof level is great, but also doesn't overheat when weather isn't cold as expected. Lived in jacket over winter.

Comfortable and dry
I had only had a few waterproof jackets before this. The majority have been very sweaty like a boil in the bag cyclist riding along. This jacket however I have found to be the best I have used for breathability at this sort of price point. It looks good and is very comfortable to wear.
The material is very flexible it doe not have that feel of a waterproof jacket. In fact I often wear it in the winter as a winter jacket. My only criticism would be that I find it too short and the sizing is on the small side. I am usually a medium/large. I brought the Large and it is snug fitting. If I brought it again I would definitely buy an extra large.
08 April 2016
Fitting 1.5 sizes too tight, too short
I am usually a Medium. Ordered a medium and had to return it right away for a Large. The large was still too small and more importantly, very short. I have since given it to my sister.

Offers good protection from the elements.
I bought this jacket primarily for MTB use, those cold early morning starts when there's a mist in the air and slop on the ground and there's no doubt it keeps me warm and dry in these conditions. Once the day warms up or you start hitting some heavy uphill sections then it folds fairly slim and fits into my backpack - although it's by no way a pack-a-mac, I'd compare it in size to a bag of Doritos with the air removed but the delicious corn chips still in the packet.
Sizing was the big issue for me when buying this jacket, I'm a porky biker, 5'11'' and 95kg on a bad day, having previously been burnt by an Endura Xtract in L that wouldn't span my girth, I went for the XXL in this and it fits perfectly although, as mentioned elsewhere, the arms are crazy long! like 3 inches past my fingers when I hold my arms straight however using the wrist cuffs to fasten it over gloves works and I didn't notice the extra material bunching up while riding.
This jacket has a good number of pockets, an even better number of zipped vents, looks great (is more battleship grey rather than the black it looks on Wiggle photo) and is functional - what more do you want?

This jacket (in red) has lasted me very well
I like the retro styling and the flexibility of the wear - all conditions.
If there was any critique it is that it does attract dirt in the seams the older it gets that a heavy biological wash ruined the internal mesh of - and probably the waterproof nature of the clothing truth be told - but that's the holy grail of textiles and not comment on the item itself.

Keeps you dry
This is a good jacket for my 1 hour commute each day. Keeps you dry and the zips under the arms allow good ventilation. The jacket is short in length around the waist so rides up a bit. The arms are long which is good as they will go over gloves on cold mornings. Good product and the red is pretty visible also

Great product but could really use a longer tail
Very waterproof and much more ventilation than my previous jacket but would benfit from a longer tail as it tends to ride up.
I may not be the intended rider as I am using it for commuting on a hybrid but can't help think i would benefit all users with a longer tail, saying that I find this more of an annoyance than anything and would buy it again for the quality to price point.

Good option for winter riding. Good Quality for price.
29 February 2016
A great piece of kit.
This jacket replaces one I bought 20 years ago! It has not let me down. Wind, rain, cold, snow it copes with them all. Well done DHB.
28 February 2016
Good waterproofing, some downsides.
Jacket has really good water resistance (i.e. keeps heavy rain out). And stays breathable with the lined inner.
Downsides is that there are no front pockets (except on the inside of the jacket), and the sizing is relatively short at the front - go for a larger size than normal fit.

Ideal jacket for me
I wanted a waterproof/windproof jacket to serve as my top layer at temperatures from 0C to about 10C. Mainly I wanted it to be windproof as all my rides are day or half day pleasure rides and don't tend to go on a ride if rain is forecast!
Out of the packet it looks a very good quality jacket. All seams are taped and the jacket is mesh lined. The sleeves have nice velcro fasteners at the cuffs and there are air vents in the front and the back of the jacket and under the armpits - these latter vents are zipped. There are two inner pockets; one zipped for keys and a credit card and also a small phone pocket. There is a larger, external, zipped rear pocket. I am 183cm (6ft) and 75kg, waist about 35" and chest 39". I bought a large and it fits me very well indeed.
A number of reviewers have commented on the jackets length. It is shorter than another of my rain jackets but its length is very similar to my long sleeved jerseys. I bought the red version; I like the colour and the fit, it is very comfortable to wear and for my use it is a nice length.
Because of the mesh lining the jacket doesn't fold up particularly small but I use a saddlebag so it goes in there if I want to take it off. Have worn this jacket on a number of rides now and very pleased with my purchase.
22 February 2016
rain proof but short at the rear
Good comfortable fit. I'm 5ft7in and the medium is fine. The only flaw is the rear of the jacket is quite short which makes it very difficult (near impossible) to get anything in or out of the rear pocket whilst cycling. I usually have to stop to get at my stash of food.
15 February 2016
Too short and unsealable front vent
I am 192 and of slim build. The large fits my upper body fine but is way too short lower down - the elasticated waist gradually rises over the top of my trousers when I'm riding. When I am standing/walking it does the same - I'm continually pulling it down. It needs to be 10cm longer.
The jacket is lined so it's not a jacket for warm weather, however the permanently open vents on the chest let in far too much cool/cold air in the Autumn and means that this is most definitely not a Winter jacket. When you redsign this jacket make the front vents sealable!
Otherwise lots of nicely thought-through features at a reasonable price,

An outstanding jacket
A well priced good performing jacket. all the features are better than described and it has a feel of real quality about it, it would hold up against its much more expensive rivals. I wear it every day during winter to commute to work and even in the worst of rain in keeps my under layers perfectly dry. A very good waterproof that should be considered.
29 January 2016
I was unsure how waterproof this jacket would be for the price. I own various outdoor jackets and have paid over 3 times the amount for decent waterproof qualities. I was blown away by how good this is for cycling. 2hr ride in a downpour and I stayed toasty warm and dry (underlayers of course as well). I went for a size bigger than I'd normally go for based on other reviews and it was great. The sleeves were a bit long but that's fine as they went over my gloves. It's light enough to go through the summer rains as well I think.
18 January 2016
Basic, does the job
For the price this is a decent quality, water/wind proof jacket.
The sizing feels a little baggy on the arms, I went with an XL, 6"3 85kg, could be longer on the back as the tail rides up. The lack of front chest pocket is also a little annoying but not a deal breaker. Commuted in heavy winter rain and it performed well.
12 January 2016
Good jacket - with a few caveats
I got on sale so hard to be too critical. Its a well made jacket, waterproof with the features you'd look for except, as others have said, the tail is too short and is cut more like a walking jacket than cycling. Again, reiterating other comments, sizing is tight. I'm usually a large but went up to an XL and it is still snug.
12 January 2016
OK for what it is
Yes, its a waterproof jacket, but it needs a longer tail to qualify as a cycling jacket. Even without riding on drops, it still rides up at the back.
06 January 2016
EQ2.5 have very good wind and waterprotection. Good ventilation.
04 January 2016
Brilliant Waterproof Jacket
Used the jacket for the first time today and the conditions were cold, very wet and very windy. All I can say is after a 3 hour bike ride, I returned home bone dry on my top half and not cold in the slightest.
Jacket is a little heavier compared to others, but I am happy with this as I would rather be warm and dry in conditions like today.
03 January 2016
Light weight, well made.
Ordered a large which is usually fine for me, a little tight with more than just one layer underneath, if you are usually a large suggest you go for Xlarge !
30 December 2015
I have a 41-42" chest and 32" waist and the large fits me fine with one layer underneath, anymore and it'd be a squeeze. For someone your height etc I'd recommend the XXL but everyone is differen't with regards to layering etc

Hey, same height here, just got the Large and the back is somewhat short for me, especially in the drops. I don't know if the XL would be much better, however, as then you'd have to consider the added bulkiness and extra sleeve length. While not ideal,I am managing with the L.

I'b same height slightly bigger chest 43' and need to return the Large. I could zip it up but it was extremely fitted over just a regular formal shirt, so no chance under base layers.Tight on the chest and neck. Not that long on the lower back either. Unfortunately your probably smack inbetween L and XL. Order both and send one back, but id say your going to be an XL
Hi there. Please can you tell me what the difference in arm length is between the Large and X Large. I ordered a Large. It is a snug fit, arms are perfect, shoulder fit is a bit restrictive. but it is just a bit too short on the back. Would the XL be too baggy?

Hi, I have't tried both jacket sizes, but I would have ordered the larger jacket for me in as much as I need a tad bigger chest size, the arm length in the one I have is quite adequate for me. Generally I feel you need to order one size larger is my expirence Hope this helps
I'm 6'1" tall, 78kg and 33" waist 40' chest. What size should I get? Chest and waist says medium, but height says Large. I don't want a jacket that's too big on the chest, but I want one that's long enough.

im practically the same stats as you. Just brought a large. Fits ok in the body, race fit but quite short, especially in the tail. the arms though were too baggy, too long and flappy. Just not a good fit which is a shame as quality seems great. hope this helps.

I am 186cm high with 84vm inside leg - so long in the body - and found the jacket too short back and front and gave it to a smaller mate in the end; which may answer your concern but really depends on your torso to leg ratio

Not sure which measurements you want but the front measurements of the large size of this jacket are 24" / 61cm from bottom to top of the collar (zipped up) or alternately, 25" / 63.5cm from the bottom to the shoulder seam.
Back measurements are: 32" / 81cm from the bottom to the top of the collar or 29.5" / 75cm from the bottom to the seam on the shoulder.
HI. I'm 184 cm and 66 kg. 96 cm chest and 31 Inches waist. I actually prefer Next to skin fit. may the small size will fit to me? the medium and large size is out of stock now, and I need to order it now
I currently have a DHB Signal jacket and I'm not happy at all about its fit. Chest is much too large and flap if there is any wind while the arms are too short for me. I also have a castelli softshell that is perfectly cut, will this waterproof jacket fit closer to the castelli as the description suggest ? Are the Arms longer than on the signal ?
I can't speak for the castelli but I'm 6' 5" and bought an XXL of this jacket.
At that size the arm length is just right but it does tend to gather under my arms when I'm not riding and I do notice a fair bit of flapping coming from under my arms whether the pit holes are unzipped or not when riding into a light head wind and, come to think of it, the flapping gets progressively worse as the head wind increases.
I'm not unduly concerned about the flapping as having been married for more than 19 years my selective hearing kicks in after the first 5 minutes or so... ;-)

I usually buy XL but had to get an XXL and it was still on the tight side of things, and it is very short in length, see my review. I am 6'4" and have a 44" chest as a guide. I found the XXL tight and short. Hope this helps.
I have just brought this jacket and i'm using it in Auckland NZ when the temp has been from 3-10degs and its not too warm at all. The zips under the arms help regulate the temp for the climbs and i'm only wearing merino thermal under it.

No its fine - I'm currently using in Sydney, and with a backpack on it can get a little warm, but you only need 1 layer underneath. There's good ventilation built in and underarm zips for extra ventilation if you need it
Buying from the US, I want to make sure the size I buy is correct. I have a Gore Bike Wear Xenon 2.0 SO Jacket in an XL size that fits like a glove, however, the Gore Path Jacket I have in an XL is extremely loose. The size chart for the chest for gore jackets indicates a 40″ - 411⁄2″ is a XLarge. I'm 6'2, 42L Chest, 180lbs and would prefer a form fitting size rather than loose. I imagine I should buy a Large, but paying a 50 dollar return charge is a bit ridiculous internationally. Does anyone have any advice before I buy something?
Hi there. I'm around 6'2" but only about 150 pounds, so I bought a Medium for a nice body fit. It fits just as I wanted in the body, but I have noticed it creep up a little around the back when I'm riding. If it were an inch longer in the torso, it'd be perfect. The arm length is completely fine though. Hope that helps!

I can confirm that the issue here is due to the different cut than the manufacturers use. Gore offer a snug form fit, where as DHB offer a generous fit. If you have a 42 inch chest I can confirm that a large will be a good fit for you in this DHB.

I have washed this jacket many times. Wash on 30deg with non bio. Allow to drip dry. Not had any issues with lack of waterproofing following washing. I would suggest that as there are no specific care instructions indicated on the label there are no specific care instructions.

Robbo Wash it as normal with either type of powder but do not use fabric conditioner. You will not need to iron. If you are wearing it frequently and washing it a lot then give it a wash with NicWax one a month or so.
The reason I ask is I have just washed the dhb signal jacket and all the material that cover the seams have come adrift in the wash....! (A real shame as I loved the fit and style of the signal jacket) I have since returned this item due to being faulty. I now need a new jacket to replace the signal but don't want to have the same issues......
