The dhb Finchdean Bib Shorts have it all - comfort, performance, great design. Made from latest generation fabrics which are highly breathable, these bibs feature anatomically designed panelling to ensure an optimum fit. The leg panels use Fieldsensor fabric, which is usually only seen on shorts costing £85+, and moves sweat away from the body to keep the rider cool and dry. Lycra Power fabric offers muscular support to help improve ride performance and power. In the saddle, the Silver Dry Coolmax Gel Pad works wonders. It is anti-shock, anti-bacterial but not anti-saddle soreness, offering unbeatable comfortable which will leave you feeling as fresh and comfortable at the end of the ride as you did at the start.

About Lycra Cycling Shorts
Cycle shorts offer unrestricted movement on the bike with the added benefit of a chamois for comfort. They are the traditional cycling leg wear for any distance rider. Lycra shorts hold their internal pad in the ideal position throughout the ride, offering comfort and cushioning for both on and off road riding. Lycra shorts stretch with your body so there are no seams to rub you up the wrong way or restrict your pedalling motion. They are lightweight in material and since there is only one layer of thin fabric, they breathe well and keep you cool on hot days, or can be used under a pair of winter tights. Higher end models will have more panels and will generally fit better, a good pair of shorts is essential for longer rides and combined with a chamois crème make a wise investment.

The dhb brand was first born in Hampshire, England. The founders – d, h and b decided they didn’t want to just sell bicycle gear but they also wanted to be involved with every aspect of it’s design and development. I've become accustomed to the staggering performance to cost ratio of dhb clothing, distributed in the UK by Wiggle, and the new Finchdean bib shorts have no less than blown my socks clean off [steady on - ed.].
The Finchdean bib shorts are new for this summer and are the highest specced bib shorts on offer from dhb. The extra money on the slightly higher price tag has gone into the higher quality fabrics used to build this pair of shorts.
Fieldsensor fabric (which uses a proprietary knitting technique to achieve a high level of sweat wicking) is used for the main leg panels, while "Lyrca Power" dominates the inner leg and seat panels. These shorts hug your body extremely well and ensure the chamois doesn't move shift around while silicon grippers keep the legs in situ.
There's further evidence of the extra expense involved in their manufacture inside, with a decent chamois in the shape of a SilverDry CoolMax item. Gel padding, high-density inserts and Cool Max finishing provides ample comfort without any build up of sogginess. Anti-bacterial properties ensure no build up of nasty bacteria.
In conclusion...
Top notch comfort at a price that won't make you choke at the sight of your bank balance.
