The dhb brand was first born in Hampshire, England. The founders – d, h and b decided they didn’t want to just sell bicycle gear but they also wanted to be involved with every aspect of it’s design and development. Ignore the price, this jacket is definitely worthy of its 'race' tag. The fit is reasonably close and the skinny arms minimize flapping at speed. The windproofing is excellent and it's highly breathable during hard efforts too. With vented underarms and untapped seams it's only claimed to be water resistant, yet it was one of the best in the unforgiving shower test and will certainly hold out against all but the heaviest rain. Loose cuffs let some air up the sleeves and it's a shame there's no pocket to pack it into, but that's fussy at this price. It stuffs into a jersey pocket easily enough.
In conclusion...
dhb does it again with brilliant performance and value.

This simple transparent shell delivers excellent performance for its weight and price...Typically for dhb, this water-resistant membrane jacket is about half the price of the competition, but it's no worse for that...The combination of a decent fabric and mesh vents under the arms means it breathes allot better than most transparent plastic 'race capes'. This meant we left it on throughout rides when we were expecting to steam up early - making it a viable regular use jacket shell rather than a 'just in case' option. The tall neck plus elasticated tail and cuffs offer decent coverage, and the pack size and weight are miniscule...
In conclusion...
Cracking lightweight performance for the price as long as you're not too rough with it.
