The Knowle Jersey is the ultimate in dhb clothing. Using latest generation fabrics, this jersey is designed for the cyclist who wants the most from themselves and the most from their clothing, day after day, ride after ride. There is not so much as a stitch of this jersey which isn't there for a purpose: the Knowle jersey is all about intelligent design, maximum comfort and ultimate performance. Rigorously tested by riders who put in the miles, the Knowle is special - even if we say so ourselves.
It's made from the new Lycra Power fabric which feels and looks the part - lightweight, breathable and anti-static - it is designed to withstand anything the toughest riders and conditions can throw at it. Anatomically-designed panelling guarantees a snug fit and no compromises on comfort. For additional breathability there is a discreet mesh underarm panel which uses the highly innovative DM48 fabric. This ensures sweat is absorbed by the fabric and channelled away from the body, keeping the rider cool, dry, comfortable and able to focus on the most important thing: riding.

About Short Sleeve Cycling Jerseys
Short sleeve cycling jerseys are cut to provide a close fit whilst riding, they are made from stretchy, breathable materials, which help transfer moisture away from the body and keep you comfortable on the bike. They are best combined with a quality base layer on hot days and can be worn under a jacket on cooler days, making them a good choice as part of a layering system as well as a single item. When choosing a jersey consider how much venting you would like and look at the zip lengths, the longer the zip the higher the ventilation choice you will have. Cycle Jerseys also feature open pockets on the rear for carrying items such as energy gels, energy bars or inner tubes.

When it comes to offering low-cost clothing, DHB have been untouchable over the past few years, and their new Knowle range sees them moving into more high end territory.
This is a really lightweight nylon/elastane jersey for the warmest summer weather. The stretchy front panels are joined by a full-length zip so you can let plenty of cool breeze in, the back panels are a more open weave, and the centre-back strip and underarm sections are mesh. This all adds up to a whole lot of air-conditioning which, combined with impressive fabric wick-ability, keeps you comfortable when the roads are sizzling.
The seams arent flat-stitched but thats less of an issue on a jersey than it is on shorts, and the build-quality is excellent. You get three pockets in the lower back, one of which has a zipped compartment with a hole for a headphones wire, while the elasticated hem comes with dots of silicone rubber on the inner side to help prevent riding up.
The sizing is slimline and snug. In fact, thats an understatement; you might well want a size up from normal, so check the fit charts on Wiggles website before you buy.
At 69.99 the Knowle jersey is by no means cheap but it offers several useful features and a high-level of performance.
In conclusion...
Highly breathable jersey at a reasonable price considering its excellent design features

dhb has upped its game since we last tested its top end kit. Past road jerseys haven't really delivered a streamlined, racing cut, but thankfully the Knowle seems to have turned a corner. Lycra power fabric is extensively used, in multi-panelled construction, to really draw the jersey into the body. The fit is really close, but not restrictive, thanks to the 'give' in the fabric. Mesh panels, particularly a large one up the spine, also help the jersey to move with you, making it very comfortable, although worn without a base layer you can feel the many seams. With tight fitting jerseys, underarms can be uncomfortable, but the Knowle kills two birds with one stone here. dhb's DM48 underarm mesh is primarily there for its breathability which is superb, but the mesh is ultra light and stretchy so there's no bulk or 'rucked' material.
The full length front zip is perfect for summer but could benefit from a zip garage at the top, to protect the neck.
In conclusion...
All in all, though, very little to fuss about, especially at such a good price.

Like the shorts, the jersey is made from a Lyrca Power fabric which in use proves to be brilliant at keeping you cool and dry in hot weather, and it's also very light weight.
Anatomically-designed it fits like a second skin with the shape not leaving any excess material that can either flap around in the wind or rumple up. Crouched over the drops there's no deterioration in the quality of the fit. If you like your clothing tight fitting, you'll like the Knowle stuff.
Discrete mesh panels underneath the arms give a bit of extra stretch and added to the jerseys ability to cope with hot weather. All seams are of the flat lock variety increasing the comfort factor, and elastic gripper tape on the rear of the waist helped keep the jersey in place, even when the three rear elasticated pockets were well loaded.
There's also a zipped pocket and if you like listening to tunes while you're cycling you'll like the holes which feed the headphone cables through from the zipped pocket.
In conclusion...
This is an impressive debut into a higher price point for dhb. They've combined all the great qualities from their other clothing ranges but added a touch of quality in the form of better materials and a better fit, while still offering incredible value for money.

This is a close-fitting top with a lot of neat design touches. Silicone grippers at the rear of the hem do a great job of keeping the jersey in place even under effort, and if you are working hard, the Knowle's mesh underarms help to dissipate sweat - as does the large Y-shaped mesh area at the rear. And when things get really warm, there's a full-lenth zip for even more ventilation. In addition to the three rear pockets there's a zipped pocket for an MP3 player, complete with a hole for the headphones cable, for those who ride to music.
In conclusion...
Well designed, top quality, tight-fitting racing jersey with nice features.
