This overshoe is the middle member of the dhb overshoe family, providing protection against cold wet weather. The 3mm Neoprene is tough but stretchy, when applied over the shoe the fitting is snug and form fitting. The durable, rear entry, size 5, lock down, YKK zip gives access to the shoecover. Once the foot is in place and the heel adjusted it can be zipped closed and further secured with the Velcro top tab.
Neoprene is made from closed cell foam trapping thousands of bubbles of insulating gas. The closed cell structure means the material is wind and waterproof. Internally taped seams add strength and maintain a waterproof seal. The overshoe will keep water and road spray off of the shoe protecting the rider from rain, cold and road grime.
The neoprene is sandwiched between two layers of nylon stretch fabric. This face fabric helps protect the neoprene from general-use scuffs and also makes them easy to apply.
The underside of the overshoe features a robust Kevlar material, which is abrasion resistant. The Kevlar extends up around the toe and heel to prevent excessive wear when walking in the overshoes (café stops, or ‘no cycling’ areas). The holes in the base for the cleats are patterned snugly to minimise the amount of road spray entering the shoe from below upwards. Robust binding adds strength and abrasion resistance to the Kevlar base and neoprene interface.
2 reflective strips run vertically up the length of the rear ankle to improve your visibility to other road users when riding in reduced light conditions. Side logo adds a spark of reflective in low light conditions.

This is probably a bit of a silly question: Do these overshoes have holes in the sole for the cleats to fit through? I would like to wear these over a pair of Shimano MTB shoes.

I use this combination on Shimano M520 pedals and have had no issues with the cleats at all.
The sizing chart recommends going up a size for MTB shoes, which I have done. They are easier to get on but would look better if a tighter fit. Depends how much of a fiddle you want.
