This summer mitt has been patterned on the curve, which means that when the glove is in position interacting with the bars, hoods or drops, the glove fits best. Theory being that the glove should be more comfortable in the ‘use’ position rather than open palm position. This patterning leads to a smoother fit and less padding required to smooth out creases.
The palm side uses a sticky, tough micro PU which gives excellent grip and retains maximum dexterity when shifting and breaking. The slim, high density foam padding on the critical areas helps to keep aches on longer rides to a minimum.
A soft terry fabric panel on the thumb upside allows a quick nose wipe if required.
The mitt is designed to fit snugly so a Velcro closure allows the glove to be opened up to gain access.
NOTE: These gloves are close fitting. If you have bulky hands, consider going a size up.

I am 23cm/9" around the knuckles; what size would you recommend?

One problem I have with the Altura's is that as I ride they pull down and into the webbing of my fingers which also shifts the padding out of place, altogether not very comfortable and difficult to adjust whilst riding!
