The neoprene toe cover is a convenient accessory for riding when the weather is just starting to turn fresh. The open design means that you can apply the cover and remove it very easily, allowing climate control on longer rides. The neoprene fabric stretches around the shoe and covers the front end of the shoe, which is the most exposed area to the wind chill. Most cycle shoes have venting to allow hot air out on hot days, the toe cover blocks these holes and adds a barrier to keep the feet warm and comfortable. The neoprene is sandwiched between two layers of nylon stretch fabric. This face fabric helps protect the neoprene from general-use scuffs and also makes them easy to apply.

Neoprene is made from closed cell foam trapping thousands of bubbles of insulating gas. The closed cell structure means that the material is waterproof. The toe cover will help to keep water and road spray off the front of shoe, and is a welcome comfort for light rain/spray. Note: the top ankle and back half of the foot is exposed and will get wet!

The compact format means that if the weather warms up on a long ride, the toe cover can quickly be removed and stored in a jersey back pocket.

The underside of the toe cover features a robust Kevlar material, which is abrasion resistant. This prevents excessive wear when walking in the toe covers.
