Designed for Dave Zabriskie (DZ) by a pharmaceutical scientist to reduce and relieve chafing, irritation, and protect fragile perineal skin from bacterial and fungal infections. Formulated for real and synthetic chamois.
DZ Nuts is now the official chamois cream of Team Columbia Highroad. It just shows how good this product is that amongst all the other sponsors products out there they have chosen to use it above anything else.
For those not familiar with the product it contains lots of natural ingredients like Tea Tree oil and Evodia. But what is most important is the list of things it won't ever use. Let's face it when you are putting a crème in that area you want it to sooth and not cause any damage, and with the ingredients selected you should have hours of comfort in the saddle.
So follow in the wheels of Big George and Little Mark and use DZ Nuts.
About Chamois Cream
Chamois crème is a must for any cyclist, it improves rider comfort and reduces the chance of saddle soreness. Most will have anti-bacterial ingredients to keep the delicate skin protected and to repair any damage that may occur during a ride. Chamois crème and a good pair of shorts are probably the most important item of cycle wear you will buy.
About the DZ Nuts brand
DZ Nuts manufacture high performance chamois cream. DZ Nuts’ products are designed for Dave Zabriskie, a professional road bicycle racer from the United States who rides for Team Garmin-Chipotle. Dave Zabriskie's career highlights include stage wins in all three Grand Tour stage races and winning the US National Time Trial Championship four times. DZ Nuts was developed and made by a pharmaceutical scientist to reduce and relieve chafing, irritation, and protect fragile perineal skin from bacterial and fungal infections. Dave says ""Proper MAINTENANCE of the perineal area is essential during high level training and racing. Nothing can ruin stage race success faster than an infected saddle sore.""

Magazine reviews for DZ Nuts Chamois Cream
Review from Cycling Weekly
When it comes to chamois cream there are an ever expanding number of options and David Zabriskie's DZ Nuts is the latest.
A good chamois cream has a number of jobs to perform. It has to combat friction, fight bacteria and fungi and help the skin repair – no easy task.
With a slightly runnier consistency then other creams on the market, Nuts was best applied directly to the skin, and quite a bit was required for it to be effective against friction.
In conclusion...
With no problems encountered it's safe to say DZ Nuts is a great performing cream that will outlast your legs if you use enough.
Rating: 8/10
Review from Road Cycling UK
"Proper maintenance of the perineal area is essential during high level training and racing. Nothing can ruin stage race success faster than an infected saddle sore."
Those are Dave Zabriskie's words, and you'll find them printed on the packaging for DZ Nuts, a new high viscosity chamois cream being exclusively distributed by online retailers Wiggle.
The cream has been formulated by a pharmaceutical scientist for Dave Zabriskie to reduce and relieve chafing and irritation, and to protect the skin from bacterial infections. The naturally sourced Fair Trade ingredients include healthy sounding things like Tea Tree oil, Evodia and masterwort. It's fragrance free.
The packaging is very sleek with the toothpaste-style tube making for easier application than from a pot. Just squirt and go. The side of the box even features a wonderfully funny description of how to apply the cream (step 3 says: "Be a champion and enjoy the long, comfortable ride...") , it's all very tongue in cheek - which we suppose is to be expected from Zabriskie given his alleged sense of humour.
The cream is white in colour and we found, for best comfort results that applying a generous amount of the stuff directly to the undercarriage the way forward. [No, we didn't; you managed to keep the stuff to yourself - ed.]It seems to stay in place well on longer rides, with an initial tingling sensation when first applied - the more you put on, the tinglier it is.
If you've never used chamois cream before, you might be wondering what the point of this stuff is. Even though modern chamois are far superior to those around 10 or 20 years ago, it's not uncommon to suffer from a bit of chafing on long rides. It's here that DZ Nuts makes a difference, and it has been noticeable on several sportives and longer road races during which I have been testing the product. It's a small price to pay for a big investment in comfort.
In conclusion...
I never used to bother with chamois cream but since testing DZ Nuts for the past six months, I'm a convert. When I know I'll be out on the bike for a good few hours I'll squirt a good dollop of cream on the chamois and be happy in the knowledge that I'll suffer no discomfort. And who wouldn't want that...
