About Disc Brake Pads
Wiggle stock a large range of disc brakes pads. Disc brake pads are available in various fitments and compounds to suit your needs, softer pads will wear quickly but are ideal for wet weather use or downhill, whereas harder compound pads will last but not offer great wet weather performance. Most brake pads will be a medium compound unless otherwise stated, making them ideal for all round use.
About the EBC brand
EBC is home grown and very well known in motorbike circles. Also now made the U.S.A. the EBC success story is down to versatility in production. The MTB range of disc brake pads is produced in 3 qualities – general cross-country and trekking use, downhill racing which needs a high friction “soft” compound and a third quality which is for arduous, seriously wet, muddy or sandy conditions. This is what is termed EBC gold – a highly durable, sintered metal compound for longer life, albeit not necessarily for downhillers. There are pads available for most disc brake systems and hardware is included.
