About Disc Brake Pads
Wiggle stock a large range of disc brakes pads. Disc brake pads are available in various fitments and compounds to suit your needs, softer pads will wear quickly but are ideal for wet weather use or downhill, whereas harder compound pads will last but not offer great wet weather performance. Most brake pads will be a medium compound unless otherwise stated, making them ideal for all round use.
About the EBC brand
EBC is home grown and very well known in motorbike circles. Also now made the U.S.A. the EBC success story is down to versatility in production. The MTB range of disc brake pads is produced in 3 qualities – general cross-country and trekking use, downhill racing which needs a high friction “soft” compound and a third quality which is for arduous, seriously wet, muddy or sandy conditions. This is what is termed EBC gold – a highly durable, sintered metal compound for longer life, albeit not necessarily for downhillers. There are pads available for most disc brake systems and hardware is included.

Great set of pads
Don't let the fact that these are at the bottom of EBC's product line put you off - these are excellent pads. They wore in fast, and have no trouble bringing me to a halt down steep inclines even when the discs are wet and muddy. When I squeeze the levers, I can trust that they won't let me down.

Good cheap pads
As others have noted they are not Green. Much cheaper that genuine Avid pads. To me the performance is about the same maybe a little better than stock pads. I have only used them in the dry. Silent but so too were the Avids they replaced. They might be a little harsher on the rotors they look to be wearing a little faster but it is hard to tell for sure, the rotors are a little more polished and a few more scratches on them. I will buy again.

I am after pads for Shimano XTR BR-M975 disc brakes but your listing only offers XTR 2003 or XT (which on some are compatable). Also it does not give the EBC product codes which I believe for my brakes are Gold: CFA370HH, Red: CFA370R and Green: CFA370.
Could you please advise which, if any, of the products you stock is compatable with my brakes.

Having owned both versions of this XTR brake I can assure you that the dimensions of the 2003 (965) and 2007 (975) pads are identical. The upgrade in Shimanos 2007 (975) pad is a titanium backing plate, which has a significant impact on its price, maybe less of an impact on performance.Country : United Kingdom

Bike is Giant XTC2 MTB and uses 160mm dia Shimano 6 bolt discs PN RT75, which I believe have been upgraded to RT76? Happy to use EBC or genuine Shimano.
