Great fitting shorts Having tried on many pairs of shorts, these are the only pair I've found that fit well and are reasonably priced. The gel padding does feel a little strange when your off the bike if your not used to cycling shorts, but on the bike they were really comfortable. I've had no pain on my sit bones during riding or the next day since I've been wearing these shorts. The grip on the legs I found was also just right, it stayed in place without being too tight and digging into your thighs which is a problem I've had with many other makes of short that I have tried on. The fabric is of good quality and as cycling shorts go I found they were actually quite flattering. If you are in between sizes, or like a really tight fit I would go for a smaller size as they are quite generous in there sizing. 19 June 2010

Fabulous shorts Cycled 200 miles round France in these with not one moment of chaffing or sore bum.. the padding is excellent and sits in the right place (it does not slip over to one side as i have found with some shorts). They are as attractive as lyrca cycling shorts can hope to be, and the padding is not too obvious when you are off the bike. Great pair of shorts, highly recommended!!! 08 July 2010

Judging by the size guide, I'd probably be a 9. I assume it is better to order a size 8, would appreciate some guidance.

I am a UK size 10 and went for a UK size 8 which fitted well. I would go one size smaller than you would usually get as they come up a bit large.

Hi Tania, I got the size 10 and I'm a 28 inch waist and 37 inch hips, so not a skinny minnie by anyone's standards. They fit fine. Glad I didn't get the 12. I must say when I opened the bag I thought they looked really small but they stretch a lot. Hope that helps.

I just bought a pair of these and would definitely go for the 8. They come up a little big and as they are high waisted, you shouldn't have any problems with a smaller size.

I found the fit to correspond well to my normal clothes size. The cut is definately not undersized. I think you would be right to go slightly under instead of over on the size you order. 8 will still fit well even if a tad stretched whereas if its too baggy it will drive you nuts at the back of the knees etc.

By themselves most defintely. If you wear underwear you run the risk of chafing and rubbing which the cycle shorts are designed to alleviate or minimise at the very least.

They are designed to be worn by them selves, that's why it is important to get a pair with a good gel pad in them although this does not necessarily mean it has to be thick. If you wear underwear with them you will find this uncomfortable on longer ride and more likely to sweat.
