On the bike, your Castelli jersey should fit close to the skin, Off the bike, it jersey might feel tight across the chest and a little short in front. Shorts should fit tightly enough to support critical leg muscles through compression without inhibiting movement and constricting blood flow.

Expensive treat, but worth it I treated myself to this gilet and I've barley left the house without it. I am a fan of Castelli products, but not their prices. There are products equal in quality that are significantly less pricey however, I have yet to find another brand that fits me quite so well. I am a long limbed, slim 5'7" so most kit comes up short when I order a small/s8, but this is nice and long in the back and doesn't feel tight across my shoulders when tucking on the bike. It is incredibly lightweight (easy to stuff in a jersey pocket) and deceptively warm and wind proof. Black is not the most visible colour but in the summer months this is a fab little gilet. 30 September 2012

Expect better from Castelli Given the price of this gilet I expected better quality and design; be prepared for very flimsy fabric - think plastic carrier bag - and although the description does say "ultra light weight" you get the impression it wouldn't provide much protection. The lack of a rear pocket is a flaw, and I also found the fit rather wide at the hips. The pink liner is also a bit lurid - why the insistance of including some pink on every women's design? We don't all like pink! 16 April 2012

I can confirm that the white with the black trim in the image is the one listed as White / Fluoro Pink as the lower back panel is bright pink. I hope this helps.

how waterproof is this jacket? Does this vest provide the same protection against rain as the mens Castelli Sottile Waterproof Vest?

I can confirm that this vest is water resistant but not waterproof. It will be ok in a light shower for a while but not prolonged use in the wet or heavy rain. I hope this helps.
