About Front Lights

Cycle light technology has moved on greatly over the years, traditional 'bulb' lights have been more or less replaced by LED and HID systems. Battery, lens and reflector technology has been improved greatly resulting in brighter and longer run times. Wiggle lists a large selection of bicycle lights suitable for lit streets in the city, or unlit country lanes and even bike lights suitable for off road riding, ranging from around £8 to over £300 they vary greatly in purpose and performance. Tiny LED's with flashing or constant modes are great for being seen in built up areas, whilst rechargeable systems can keep the road or off-road trails lit up for non-stop riding at night.

All electrical goods sold on wiggle that come with a mains power supply are supplied with a UK plug. Please check the product description to see if any other plugs are known to be included in the box, otherwise you may need an adapter for use in your country. Most power adapters will accept 110-240 Volts.

In order to cycle on the road it may be a legal requirement in your country to use a light certified to a specific standard or an international equivalent. Most but not all lights sold on Wiggle are certified and labelled with a European CEN standard. Please check your country’s requirements to see if this is sufficient and if necessary contact the manufacturer to see if this light has been additionally certified for your country. Strangely some of the very best lights are not legal on their own and should be used with an additional legal backup light.

Looks great so far Have been using this for the past 3 weeks or so, per other reviews you wouldn't use it to light your way but for being seen in the city its great. Very re-assuring to see the street signs 200m away flashing back at you in time with your light. Charged up from flat in about 4 hrs. 21 February 2013

Great light but poor battery life Despite having a great design, being easy to recharge, and arriving fully charged (a nice touch!), subsequent charging reveals that the battery life is woefully unlike its advertised "36 hours on strobe flashing" (http://issuu.com/knog/docs/dec_gs_boomerusb?mode=window&viewMode=singlePage&backgroundColor=%232222222). I'd put it at close to 3 hours. Perhaps I have a defective model? 14 February 2013

Superb light. Love it What can I say? I used it have rubbish lights on my bike, but when I got in after a long commute and saw these new lights had arrived it didn't take much to persuade me to test them out on a trip round the block (and a bit). I got both the front and the rear 'boomer' lights and they are very quick to fit onto the bike - and secure too. The only SLIGHT issue was with the front, it was a little of a tight fit, so I imagine if you've got a wider handlebar it might be a bit tricky (handy tip, a fork makes for a good wedge to stretch it round). Once on, they were perfect. Highly recommend these lights, I felt a lot more visible on the roads, though I wouldn't rely on them too much for areas with absolutely no lighting. So far - smitten with them. 31 January 2013

Great for those that hate running out of batteries Does what it says and is good value as you don't have to constantly buy batteries. Easy to remove and reattach which is perfect when cycling about town 30 January 2013

I reckon it would (it fits on mine - just tried it in variousn places) but it would depend on the size of the vents in your helmet obviously. Nice and light too.
