Touring Sole
The Touring sole was developed specifically for long distance riding on mixed surfaces. It offers the right level of stiffness, compliance and weight for high mileage applications and also provides a stable walking action off the bike. The rubber tread pattern offers added safety for wet conditions and slippery surfaces.

An ergonomically designed arch support for optimum comfort and positioning when pedalling.
Omega Heel
The omega heel provides excellent security and maximum protection combined with the advantage of low weight. The rigid profile stabilizes the heel even under sprints and hard efforts. The rear air vents allow heat to escape for comfort.
About Offroad Shoes
MTB Cycling shoes have stiffer soles than an everyday shoe, like a trainer for instance, this means that they transfer more power to the pedals each time you push down. By improving this connection between your foot and the pedal, you can ride longer due to more efficiency and with more comfort. Higher level shoes will have 3 straps on the upper which make them very adjustable and can improve comfort further. Mountain bike shoes have a knobbly grippy sole so you can dismount and run with the bike off road when needed, or walk for small periods if popping to the shops. They are a true all round shoe that can be used for off road, road, touring and commuting.
About the Northwave brand
Northwave is a high quality manufacturer of snowboard and cycling shoes and clothing. Northwave was founded by Gianni Piva in Montebelluna, Italy and the company is owned by the Piva family. Northwave first started out as a shoe manufacturer in the early 1980's, producing shoes for other companies. In the late 80's, Northwave started producing snowboard and then its own brands of sports shoes.
