Constructed from Felt's Aero UHC Performance carbon fibre and fitted with Shimano's reliable 105 groupset, excluding chainset, the AR5 will save you seconds when you’re alone and wattage when inside the pack. The frame, with the matte carbon and grey finish, features some nice touches. Firstly you have the aero seat post and seat tube with a braze-on front derailleur boss. Couple that with the aero down tube and you have an amazing aero bike. Secondly you have double water bottle bosses (for two water bottles), internal cable routing (keeping the bike clean and tidy) and carbon fibre forks. The bottom bracket is also in the shape of a BB30. One extra feature is the rear brake. This is direct mount and is fitted under the bottom bracket.
The AR5 features Shimano's 105 groupset (10 speed) and performs very well in all conditions. Shifting is reliable and precise. Shimano prides itself on flawless performance and you won't be disappointed. The chainset is thanks to FSA and in the form of their Omega compact (50x34), which means, and coupled with a larger rear cassette, that your gearing range makes it easier for climbing, especially steep climbs. If your the type of rider that enjoys challenging sportive rides, then a bike fitted with a compact is a better choice.

Finally, the AR5 comes equipped with Felt's own brand components as regards the steering (handlebars and stem). This helps to keep the overall cost down, but still provides high quality and reliable parts. Whether you're a club rider looking to shave seconds off your times or a triathlete looking for one bike solution the Felt AR5 makes plenty of sense.
Rolling along the tarmac and a pair of Felt R3 rims built on a pair of Felt hubs. These are surrounded by a set of Vittoria Rubino Slick 700x23c tyres. A good quality combination that will see you through 1000's of miles.

About the Felt brand
Felt is an American bicycle manufacturer based in Irvine, California. In the early 1990s the company was founded by Jim Felt who designed some of the very first triathlon bikes that propelled many of the worlds greatest athletes to Iron Man victories. High profile sponsorship has remained an intrinsic part of Felt’s strategy highlighted by their association with the Garmin Transitions professional road team and Olympic Triathletes Jan Frodeno and Emma Snowsill.
With a strong product focus Felt has gone from strength-to-strength, going from just six bike models in the USA to over 150 bike models, sold in over 30 countries. Felt have created a niche group of highly skilled and dedicated people who work together to create bicycles that consistently exceed their riders’ expectations by providing a sense of individuality, inspiration and pride in ownership.
Felt are not governed by their competitors’ measurements of success - the desire to push beyond the limits of technology never allows Felt to rest on their laurels. As their universal mission statement suggests, Felt’s reason for existing is “To design, develop, and deliver the best bicycles in the world. Period.”

Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
It is pretty much bang on 8KG. Hope this helps. The weight isn't an issue, once riding it is fast!
Ignore the above! It is designed to be reversed. It is called VariMount for a few reasons that being one of them.
Take it from an owner of the bike that it can be done.
Superdave, above, who works for felt says so.
I did some google pictures on the Felt AR5 bike and there seem to be a black and green colour combination for the frame. Is it possible to pre-order them in 52cm size?
I am afraid that we are unable to offer an exchange or direct swap for these parts however, so when delivered both the original and replacement parts should be supplied.

Which size would be best?
I'm 178cm with a 29" inseem and I went for a 56cm frame. Great fit. Excellent bike, well worth it!
1. What size would fit me best, and is there close to another size?
I'm 167 cm, ~75 cm inseam and an arm span of 168 cm. Currently riding a Scott sized XS, 49 cm.
2. What is the difference between the AR5 and the AR15 except the frame and placing of the rear brake?
Thanks in advance!
I'm 177 cm, ~77 cm inseam and an arm span of 170 cm. Currently riding a Specialized Secteur 54 cm frame....
Thanks in advance!
