Felt F95 2012

The frame of the F95 is built from 6061 F-Lite aluminium tubing which is custom-shaped and butted to maximize strength, minimize weight and deliver optimal ride quality. It has twin bottle cage mounts, a traditional threaded bottom bracket shell, an externally relieved headtube containing a 1 1/8 straight steerer tube and a band-on front derailleur fitting. It uses a replaceable forged aluminium rear mech hanger which should save your frame from damage if the rear derailleur takes a knock.

The F95 is fitted with a mix of components from trusted manufacturers in order to keep cost low at the same time as offering the performance you need. You get a good quality 9 speed Shimano Sora rear derailleur, proven Microshift integrated gear and brake levers, a Microshift front derailleur, Microshift dual pivot brake calipers for more powerful stopping and a compact FSA Tempo chainset to help you climb the inevitable hills! It's a package you can upgrade as you go along if you wish but certainly won't hold you back out of the box.

The wheels on the F95 are R500 aluminium rims from Alex built on Felt's own forged aluminium, sealed bearing hubs. The front wheel is radially laced to save weight (meaning the spokes do not cross each other) and the rear wheel is laced 3-cross for torsional rigidity - both using stainless steel spokes and brass nipples for serviceability and longevity.

Finishing kit is predominantly Felt branded to keep the price sharp and with alloy bar, stem and seatpost offerings these are perfectly suitable and look well matched to the bike overall. The tyres are from Vittoria which is a nice inclusion at this price.
