This year's Focus Cayo features a 'Raw' carbon finish exposing the natural woven finish of carbon, instead of last year's 12K cosmetic layer, so every Focus Cayo frame will have its own unique visible carbon finish. This can appear 'marble like' in certain areas of the frame depending on lighting conditions, this gives a natural beauty and individual finish to each Cayo frame.
The Cayo 105 Triple features Shimano's 105 10 speed components coupled with an FSA Gossamer Pro triple chainset. All built around the Cayo's UD (Uni-Directional Layer) & SSPS (stable stiffness per size) Carbon Fibre Frame and fork giving the rider a fast, yet comfortable ride at all times. The bike comes complete with Shimano's RS10, Quick release wheels with Schwalbe Lugano tyres and a Concept Xtreme saddle fixed to a Concept SL seatpost. The Cayo 105 is available with a triple chainset and coupled with a cassette ratio of 12-27T, to give the rider a vast choice of gears to choose from when the terrain gets a little tough. This is a remarkable bike which is ideally suited to Sportive rides both at home or abroad. The Wiggle exclusive Cayo 105 triple offers exceptional pound for pound value, whilst being equally at home in the bunch, or on more sedate rides in the country.
Wiggle are proud to announce that Olympic and World Champion Nicole Cooke has signed a deal with Wiggle and Focus Bikes which will see her and her newly created team, Vision1 Racing, riding Focus frames this season. The Vision1 riders will be using Focus Cayo and Focus Izalco frames for training and racing.
Nicole stormed to victory at the Beijing Olympics and has set up the team with the goal of developing the next generation of cyclists ready for London 2012 - and is delighted they'll be riding Focus frames.
Nicole said: 'I have followed the development of Focus over the last two years and have been impressed with their technology and quality of bikes.'
The Vision1 team includes a mix of young British talents such as Dani King and Katie Curtis together with more experienced riders Helen Wyman and Gabby Day who it is hoped will bring the best out of each other over the coming seasons to realise their full potential.
