When the Cayo first came to the market a few years back it re-wrote the rulebook for how much bike you could get for this sort of money. It featured a full carbon frame and great componentry and had all the big manufacturers scrabbling to achieve the same level of value.

Engineered in Germany this frame boasts a BB30 oversized bottom bracket (stiffening the frame at the BB area where all your pedaling effort goes in and transfering that effort more efficiently into forward motion), 'LRCS' - Lateral Reinforced Comfort Seatstays - reinforced seatstays for greater control, and a tapered head tube and matching tapered fork meaning the front end inspires cornering confidence as well as minimizing flex when sprinting.

Combine this great frame with Shimano's Ultegra groupset and a hill-friendly compact chainset from FSA and it's easy to understand why this bike continues to have such a large following. Also, DT Swiss R1850 clincher wheels wrapped with Continental Ultra Sport tyres gives you top quality performance everytime as well as good rigidity for sprints and handling.

While the finishing kit is mostly in-house to keep the price sharp, Focus still opted for good quality tyres from top tyre brand Continental. The Cayo begs to be ridden and offers more than enough quality to either the enthusiast road rider looking to upgrade or for a first time purchase.
