The Variado Expert from Focus features a superb set of seriously good components at an amazing price.
The Variado Expert provides the rider with fast comfortable performance due to the lightweight 6061 alloy frame, comfort is enhanced with the use of carbon forks which help absorb the vibration from the road before reaching your hands.
Shifting is taken care of with the Shimano's Ultegra Ice groupset, which provides crisp, smooth shifting even when under load. The Truvativ Elita 50/34 compact chainset offers a wide range of gears to cope with most climbs when matched with the 12-27 Shimano cassette. A well chosen mix of Concept SL bars and stem, with a Velo saddle mounted on Concepts matching SL seatpost take care of the contact points nicely. Shimano's RS 20 wheelset wrapped with Michelin Lithion tyres provide a responsive road feel and transfer power to the road well. Combine all these components and you have a lightweight, responsive race-ready machine for under £900.
