The Fulcrum range is produced in conjunction with Campag and there are similarities with the superbly smooth angular contact bearings used for the Chorus and Record hubs. The rear wheel uses 21 massively oversized bladed aluminium spokes that are crossed on the drive side to help distribute stress and the remainder are radial with the front wheel carrying 16 spokes.
In conclusion...
Stiffness applenty for those who need it, though expensive
