These wheels use aerodynamic carbon fibre 50mm profile rims with an aluminium braking surface. This provides optimised performance in all weather conditions so no need of specific pads.
The new Red Wind Series has been designed and developed with the aim of perfectly integrating two materials that make up the rim: an aluminium rim and the carbon body.
Thanks to the implementation of an exclusive coupling process between the aluminium rim and the carbon structure, the rim is extremely rigid, which allows for excellent responsiveness and outstanding durability of the wheel.
Moreover, thanks to the exclusive moulding system of the rim with non-primed carbon, the weight has been dramatically reduced and the surface has no imperfections.

Competition testing with world level athletes and the expertise Fulcrum's engineers possess means Fulcrum have become known for developing unsurpassed products with excellent performance, durability and market leading innovation. Key technologies pioneered by Fulcrum include 2:1 Two-to-One™ Spoke Ratio, which delivers incredible power transfer by doubling the spokes on the critical drive side of the wheels so no energy is wasted. Fulcrum has also focused on class leading rolling resistance through their CULT and USB Bearing Technologies which use ceramic bearings and cutting edge surface technology to massively reduce friction. CULT ball bearings are 9 times smoother than wheels with traditional bearings.
