This Geax Mezcal MTB Tyre is no longer available although you may find similar or newer versions below:
Great cornering and fast rolling dry weather tyre. The Geax Mezcal gives everything one would expect from a semi-slick tyre, but has been designed to deliver good performance also on more difficult trail conditions and steeper slopes.
|Wheel Size:||26" (559)|
The new Rails Design concept allows for predictable grip both on high and low radius bends thanks to the two parallel sideknob arrays. Knob shape delivers both speed and traction when needed and the central "diamond" pattern does its job beautifully, preventing punctures and providing a micro-traction effect, useful on steep climbs and hard surfaces.
Aramid 3D Compound and new Tuned Spring Rate Casing (phase 3.1) complete this high performance package... an extraordinary weapon for cross country!

|The casing we use for our MTBs has always been the secret behind the reliability of our products. Our T.S.R. casing offers great cut resistance, with the same flexibility and reactivity that's typical of a top range tyre. Thanks to a wise angle choice for each ply and the exclusive use of top quality polyamide fibres.|
|This very high quality compound, associated with high performances products, is enhanced by three dimensional dispersion (3D) of aramid particles (aromatic polyamide polymers). This is how we can maintain an excellent grip combined with a good wear and with an exceptional resistance to cuts and flats.|

These tyres are for mountain bikes and intended primarily for off road use, the knobbly patterns provide grip when steering and traction when applying power to the pedals. There is usually a tyre to suit the conditions in which you are riding in so the right choice is important. On dry days a narrow tyre with a smoother central tread can be used, but on a wet day a wider tyre with a deeper knobbly tread pattern is essential or you could be the one in contact with the mud.
Geax's mission is to create the best mountain bike tyres you may desire for either XC, Free-Ride or Downhill applications. They know it's not easy, but easy things are not their business. From year to year they have refined their weapons, using only the best raw materials and the most advanced 3D designing softwares. They have kept passing their prototypes to the best racers for testing: who trashed their tyres all over the world, from the Australian desert to the Alps, not forgetting Alaska and the Rocky Mountains. Everybody can now see the results: a family of tyres growing every year with new treads and new technologies, constantly evolving.
